The space House is a two story home built over 100 years ago Other things to note Our century-old cottage is unique in that the bathroom is located in the basement. This was so workers could enter after a long day at the mills, clean up, and then enter upstairs without bringing the mess in. We've updated the bathroom since then, of course but you must be able to walk up/down stairs to access the bathroom. Also, please note that since the house is older, the ceilings are not high (in basement especially). Those over 6 feet might not feel comfortable accessing the basement.
