Anyone older than 13 years, staying a night in Porto, pays the tax per night, per person for a maximum of seven straight nights per person and per stay. Who is exempt from paying the tourist tax? a) People travelling for medical treatment, and continue therapy in medical facilities. Family members and/or companions are exempt also. Documentary evidence of medical and care service has to be provided (or equivalent document). b) People who are disabled to a degree of 60%. Supporting documents must be presented.
