Charming mid century modern oasis in the heart of DC. Immerse yourself in the vibrant communities of Columbia Heights and Petworth, which you’re a short walk to both Metro Stations. Just down the street are the 11th St Eateries. Forget something? No worries - Target, Bed Bath & Beyond, Old Navy and Walgreens are a short walk away. This is a full 1 bed 1 bath apartment in our basement, which you have full and exclusive access to. It’s full of natural light w/ private front and rear entrances. The space Outside There’s a shared front patio with bistro set to take in your morning coffee. In the back is a Pit Boss barbecue pellet grill to use. Living Room The large living room has an oversized sectional, blackout curtains, and a 40" TV with Fire TV Stick. The Nest thermostat is located here as well. Bathroom The bathroom has a bathtub with shower curtain, toilet, and a heated, lighted mirror. A travel-sized shampoo, conditioner, and bar of soap are provided along with your towels and extra toilet paper. Washer / Dryer The full-sized washer and dryer are in the hallway. Detergent and dryer sheets are provided. Kitchenette The kitchenette includes a refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher, k-cup coffee maker, sink, and several countertop appliances in the cabinets: Ninja Foodi 3-in-1, crock pot, toaster, and electric wine opener. Pots, dinnerware, and other common utensils are also provided. Sitting Area / Futon Next to the kitchen area is a sitting area with futon that folds down to make a full-size bed. Extra sheets and pillows are provided for the futon. The 50" TV is a smart tv. Bedroom In the rear of the apartment you’ll find a private bedroom with a queen sized bed, wall-heater, and desk. The desk includes a curved 32" monitor, mouse, and keyboard connected through a USB-C dock. There's a sound machine next to the bed so you can sleep at any hour of the day. The large closet has hangers and an iron. Guest access Guests have full, private access to the basement unit of our house with front and rear entrances. Parking: We don't offer private parking, but street parking is free every Friday at 8 pm through Monday at 7 am. We park on the street, but it can get a little tight later in the day and you might have to circle a few times/park a street over. There's always Parking Panda or Spot Hero if you want private parking. Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns! Other things to note This is a traditional row home with shared brick walls. It’s definitely possible to hear neighbors and the upstairs unit from time to time. A noise machine is provided in the bedroom to help if you need. We have a dog door from our upstairs unit to the backyard for our 14 year old yorkie.
