Enjoy the serene outdoors at Taigh Glen cabin on your next getaway! Beautiful newly built cabin on the west side of Algonquin Park, a short drive from Kearney & Burks Falls, Ontario, Canada Relax on the deck & enjoy the serenity as you listen to the stream flowing into the Magnetewan River. From hiking on one of the many trails nearby, canoeing on Sand Lake or just relaxing in the hammock as you stargaze the night away - only pleasant times from here on out! Follow us at @saorsaescapes The space BEDROOMS The 1st bedroom has a queen bed, with all linens & pillows. Night stand equipped with phone charging lamps. The 2nd bedroom has a double bed, with all linens & pillows along with a nightstand & lamp. BATHROOM The bathroom has a mirror, sink, toilet and shower. Other items for guests are included are body wash, shampoo/conditioner, hairdryer, etc. KITCHEN The kitchen is well equipped with a stove, oven, exhaust fan, sink, dishwasher, microwave, french press, kettle, toaster, slow cooker & microwave popcorn machine. Plates, bowls, cutlery, pots & pans are all also provided. The cabin is stocked with coffee, tea, spices, salt, pepper and olive oil. Enjoy your meals at the kitchen island with 4 comfy tall bar stools. Water is from a freshwater well and is potable (drinkable). LIVING ROOM The living room is comprised of a couch, side table, TV & wood stove. A collection of puzzles, playing cards & many other board games are stored in the kitchen island. The log cabin is heated by in-floor heating which is worry-free. * Wood is provided for use of the woodstove but you will need to bring kindling and newspaper for firestarter. INTERNET / TV High-speed WiFi is available to all guests, along with a 40” TV with access to Amazon Prime/Disney+/Netflix. OUTDOOR AREA DECK The deck has 4 red Muskoka chairs, a BBQ & several pot lights for ease of use during the evening. PATIO The patio overlooking the stream has 2 patio chairs, a couch, and a coffee table. BACKYARD There is a large grassy area behind the cabin which is perfect for outdoor activities. OUTDOOR FUN In the winter there are 4 pairs of snowshoes and poles. In the summer there is Bocce and a hammock. POWER GENERATOR Features a permanent propane-powered generator with automatic switchover in the event of any power outages which will provide you with seamless power backup for the whole cabin. Guest access Parking is available on the large driveway leading up to the cabin Enough space to park an ATV or snowmobile trailer - lots of great trails right nearby! Other things to note ANNUAL ONTARIO PARK PASS All guests will have access to an Ontario Parks Pass during their stay. CELL SERVICE There is no cell service at the cabin, there is a phone line at the property if needed to make outbound calls (it will not make long-distance calls outside of Ontario) ** We do not provide the number for inbound calls to ensure future guests are not disturbed during their stay** You can connect your cellphone to the wifi for FaceTime calls or receive iMessage texts If you want to use your cellphone a quick 3 mins drive will give you bars.
