Beach Haven - waterfront, near Yale, sunsets

Everything you need for an amazing vacation, year-round, in our comfortable home right on the beach! Walk out the back door and dip your toes in the sand and in Long Island Sound. Enjoy spectacular views from the back patio, sun room, and most rooms in the house. Watch the sunset while soaking in the hot tub. Sit by the gas fireplace with a book. Stroll along the lovely nearby sea wall. 10-minute drive to Yale and all downtown New Haven has to offer. 5-minute drive to Lighthouse Point Park. The space Guests have use of the entire house except for the basement and one room on the second floor reserved for private use. The king and queen bedrooms are both on the water side of the house and have large windows from which you'll hear the waves and wake up and fall asleep to views of the cove and Long Island Sound beyond. If you are an early riser, you can watch waterfowl from the bedrooms, the sunroom, or the deck. Egrets, cormorants, and herons are frequent visitors. The third bedroom has a desk/ workspace and a day bed with trundle that converts to two twin beds. Two full bathrooms, one on each floor. We like to tell potential guests that this is a quiet, close-knit, family neighborhood. The houses are situated closely together and sound carries. It is therefore very important to observe the quiet hours from 10 PM to 7 AM and not have any large gatherings at the house. The beach is also very quiet and mostly used only by nearby residents. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing stay at a beautiful home on the water with lovely views and stunning sunsets, then this is your place. We want our guests AND our neighbors to be happy. :) Please note that at high tide the water covers the beach right in back of the house for a few hours around that time. Sandy beach access from the house is available at all other times, and you can also swim from the back deck during high tide. The view from the deck is available 24/7. :) *No smoking of any kind on the property, including on the back deck and front porch *No parties or events, no large gatherings *Two cars maximum *Must be 25 years old to book *For the safety and protection of the guests and the property, security cameras have been installed around the perimeter of the home *We have Roku TV with Netflix and Amazon Prime.
