We are doing some renovation on the house, we have already changed the cladding outside and we are waiting for new windows. We have so many ideas for the house but not enough time. Budalaur is 150 km from Reykjavik, quiet town located on the rute to west Iceland. One the way to Búðardalur from Reykjavík, you drive trough the town of Borgarnes. From there, you can explore the Borgarfjörður region, famous for its beautiful waterfalls and the largest geothermal hot spring in Europe, Deildartunguhver Krauma. Alternatively, you can continue heading West towards the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. The magnificent glacier Snæfellsjökull, immortalized in Jules Verne’s Journey to the centr of the Earth is located on the peninsula.
