First floor: Four, bedroom, living room, dining room and kitchen Kitchen, dining and living room is an open space with fire place, Apple TV in living room , The kitchen is well equipped Second floor: Three bedrooms Basement: One bedroom, bathroom, laundry facilities and play hall, Bathroom with bathtub/shower Outside: Patio, garden hot tub and beach, free parking There is a wi-fi internet connection in the house You can enjoy mountain and ocean view from the property If you are lucky you might enjoy the northern lights over the house at winter nights Guests have this private house all by themselves Búðardalur contains a supermarket and a petrol station, a pub/restaurant, a coffee shop, a health-care centre and a craft shop; the information centre is in the same building as a cafe and a folk museum. The village has a long history, dating from the time of the first settlements in Iceland. The name means "Camp Valley", or more etymologically straightforward "Boothdale"; it is where settlers had temporary camps when coming to the area. In 1899, Búðardalur was officially granted the right of commerce. An old house from this time still exists. We are doing some renovation on the house, we have already changed the cladding outside and we are waiting for new windows. We have so many ideas for the house but not enough time. Budalaur is 150 km from Reykjavik, quiet town located on the rute to west Iceland. One the way to Búðardalur from Reykjavík, you drive trough the town of Borgarnes. From there, you can explore the Borgarfjörður region, famous for its beautiful waterfalls and the largest geothermal hot spring in Europe, Deildartunguhver Krauma. Alternatively, you can continue heading West towards the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. The magnificent glacier Snæfellsjökull, immortalized in Jules Verne’s Journey to the centr of the Earth is located on the peninsula.
