Description

Once a dairy farm, Shady Hall Farm now boasts 3 beautifully converted barns where guests can enjoy a peaceful stay in the stunning countryside. The Cow Shed can accommodate up to 8 (7th and 8th person on a sofa bed), with one of the rooms offering single beds on request. The Cow Shed has a private, enclosed garden space (including a hot tub) and boasts a modern interior, large living room with it's own log burner, and a separate kitchen diner with a striking vaulted ceiling. The space The Cow Shed is a strikingly renovated farm building which sleeps 6 (+2 extras on a sofa bed). Boasting an enclosed private garden with stunning views across the valley and a sheltered hot tub. This property's garden adjoins our other 6 (+1) bed, The Milking Parlour. Larger bookings can rent both spaces with access into either garden via a gate between the two; this gives families and large gatherings the freedom to move between gardens (this gate is permanently locked for separate parties) and access to both hot tubs (double bubble!). The Cow Shed can accommodate up to 8 adults with 1 of the 3 rooms offering either super-king or 2 single beds, depending on the requirements of your guests. The remaining 2 rooms have king and super-king beds. Entering the property after parking in the farmyard; beyond the hallway you'll see straight into the impressive kitchen and dining area with it's vaulted ceiling and upcycled milking jar lights. The kitchen has a large central island perfect for entertaining and a separate area with handmade wooden dining table seating 8 adjacent to the French doors which lead to the garden and hot tub - ideal for opening up the space on warm, sunny days (we do get them now and again!!) The large living area has a log burner for cosy nights by the fire, a sofa bed for guests 7 and 8, and our only en-suite downstairs bedroom is located off here. Climbing the wooden staircase leads to the mezzanine balcony where you can relax with a book and a cuppa whilst enjoying the view through the glass balustrade. The first floor bedrooms sit snugly beneath the sloping ceilings of the converted attic; the larger of the two with a super king bed (or 2 singles). The shared bathroom has both a bath and shower; with a large roof window letting in plenty of natural light. Our sheltered hot tub seats 6 adults and faces out over the valley where stunning views of the sunset can be enjoyed whilst soaking up the bubbles. The garden is fully fenced with the gate between the Cow Shed and it's sister property, The Milking Parlour, locked at all times (unless booking both for parties of more than 8). A patio and outdoor dining area with brick built BBQ give you plenty of excuses to burn a few burgers and enjoy the afternoon sun. Guest access The farm is set back 1/2 mile from the road and we provide free on site parking for 3 cars (more parking can be arranged if needed, please let us know before you arrive).
