After I inherited the farm from my grandfather, one thing was clear to me, "this farm is not for sale." Thus, together with my parents, I completely renovated the farm and created a modern furnished vacation home. In his honor, it has become "DER HENKELHOF," where we would like to extend a warm welcome to you. By "we" I mean my parents Heri & Ilona and me. Benny :-) Since I no longer live here for professional reasons, the two of them will be available on site The space The house with its living space of about 130 square meters has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 1 living room, 1 kitchen, 1 laundry room, 1 storage room with freezer. You can park directly in the yard. Wi-Fi is available to you free of charge for the entire stay. Thus, the accommodation is also simply ideal for business people. Families with children are very welcome here. The large courtyard and the newly built playground behind the house offer the children and parents a lot of fun and a great stay. The playground is accessible without the children having to go out onto the street. In the large new kitchen, nothing stands in the way of physical well-being. For a great start to the day, we offer free coffee. A Tschibo Cafissimo capsule machine is available for this purpose and, for larger quantities, a filter machine is also available. A small assortment is available for all tea lovers. A high chair is also available for the little ones to sit at the table with you if needed. Other amenities include a ceramic stovetop, fridge, oven, microwave and dishwasher. All bedrooms are equipped with a cozy king-size bed with integrated lighting, linens, blankets, pillows, a wardrobe, table and TV. A baby travel bed with changing option can be added if needed. Children's bedding is available. The bathrooms both have a large walk-in shower. In the upper bathroom there is a bathtub with which your day could not end better and more relaxed. Towels and bath towels are ready for you. In addition to the TV, the living room has a large living area that can also be pulled out. In the laundry room, a washing machine is available for free use. There is also a separate sink and a small shower where you can clean and dry the dirty things after a great day of hiking. In the storage room there are things like a freezer in case you have something, ironing board, iron, vacuum cleaner, highchair, shower seat for seniors, etc... For safety in the house, all accessible sockets are equipped with child protection! The stairs to the 2nd floor are equipped with anti-slip tape. Smoke detectors are installed everywhere. The entire lower area is very well made for seniors or slightly restricted people. Handrails are installed on the walls in the hallway and bathroom and a shower seat is available for showering. Unfortunately, it is not yet completely barrier-free because you have to overcome 2 small steps outside and inside to get into the house. However, we are working to make this accessible as soon as possible. Enjoy the sunset comfortably outside on the two balconies with a delicious glass of wine. A great barbecue evening overlooking the Gleichberge? Simply watching the starry sky by a small fire? No problem. Decide for yourself. Everything is available for you free of charge. Grill, fire pit, outdoor fireplace, garden furniture and much more... Excursion opportunities right next door such as the shallow water zone in Höchheim, the swimming lake in Irmelshausen, the Gleichberge, the open-air museum invite you to the first exploration tours as well as great bike paths that we have in Grabfeld. The beautiful Rhön is only about 35 minutes by car. There, a wide variety of hiking tours, the Kreuzberg Monastery, the Wasserkuppe with a summer toboggan run and in winter with great ski slopes invite you to visit. Since we are on the border to Thuringia, the Rennsteig is also not far, as well as the various ski slopes in winter, such as in Oberhof. For the rainy days, the Marine Aquarium in Zella-Mehlis and various spas nearby are available. Frankentherme and Kissalis are highly recommended.
