The Little Flower estate is a garden nestled in the woods of south Coorg. We have two cottages. Cottage #1 has two bedrooms & a common verandah. It can accommodate up to five guests. The cottage faces the estate, gardens and fields. Cottage #2 has a large living with two bedrooms. Up to five guests can be accommodated. The living room faces the bonfire and yard, the tank and the Lakshman Theertha river. However, the stay will only be given out to one party of guests at any given time. The space The Little Flower estate is a quaint estate garden perfect for a laid back weekend or week days too where one might want to ‘work from home’ . In a nutshell it’s country roads, gorgeous sunsets, home made food and beautiful night skies. The bedrooms can comfortably accommodate two guests in each. All rooms have attached bathrooms. In the cottage 1, there are two bedrooms. If you are booked as two guests, yours will be one bedroom and the common verandah. The second room will remain locked. However if you are two guests who want to use both bedrooms, then you may do so by paying an extra INR 1500/night. Then you may use both bedrooms. However, you have to let me know in advance if you want to use both rooms, so we can keep them tidied and ready when you get here. Pets are allowed for an extra fee of INR 1000/- per pet. We welcome pets as long as they are potty trained and have their own sleep arrangements. Pets are not allowed on the beds and sofas. Kindly adhere to these rules. I am trying to keep the spaces clean and hygienic but this is possible only when guests are co-operative. The common verandah is a great place to enjoy your morning coffee while gazing at the estate and the views that extend till the paddy fields and continues till the Lakshman Theetha river. There are plenty of books if you are in the mood to read. If you have to work, then you may connect to the WiFi and work away. The Wifi is over Fiber cable at 100mbps. The Airtel tower is close at hand leading to good 4G network. So if you have an Airtel Sim with data then the coverage all across the ten acres is good. The second Wifi is from the 4G router connected to the Airtel network. This WiFi is primarily for mobile devices. If you want to use your laptop on this Wifi please take note that the daily 1.5GB data package can finish faster. If you want to use more data then that can be arranged at an additional cost. At night the verandah becomes a spot to stare into the estate from a height. The night skies are a stage from this room, especially during the monsoons when the heavy clouds and lightning makes glorious designs in the far off skies. The estate attracts plenty of colorful birds and butterflies. You will wake up to their melodies that begin by 6.00 am and continue till 9.00 am. The mornings make great times and fab locations for bird watchers and photographers. Once the sun sets there a different sort of magic in the air where you get to see a number of birds probably returning home. Later into the evening the nocturnal creatures take their turn to make music while the stars dance designs for our pleasure in the night sky. Great for night photography as well. Smoking is allowed in designated open areas such as the open area behind the kitchen or open field areas. Please do no smoke in the estate or inside the cottages. Guest access The bonfire space is located in the open yard area near the water tank. In the yard there is a gazebo to sit around, a space to play badminton or to just play ball. The water tank is fenced, and is 20 feet deep. The tank contains fish and a number of ducks. Swimming is prohibited here. There are available two bicycles and a cycling/walking trail that is carved out all around the fields. You may trail through the estate and fields and get enough fresh air into your lungs before you help yourself to a happy breakfast. No littering, kindly make sure to use the dustbins in the cottage and estate surroundings. You may help yourself to the books that in the cottage. Kindly make sure that you return these books in the same condition. Hot water flasks are available upon request. We have an outdoor kitchen that is equipped with a microwave, a kettle, a blender, and a gas stove along with utensils. Self cooking is discouraged, however, if you wish to use the kitchen to cook, you may do so for a cover charge of 500 INR per day. The Kanoor village center is 1.5 kms from the estate and basic provisions can be procured from there. This is an estate Airbnb, and the restaurants are located in Ponampet town which is 13kms from home. It will take you 15 mins to reach Ponampet town. I've laid out couple of menus from town. However, we can organize your breakfast, lunch and dinner if you mention it in advance. You will have to share your food requirements at least a day in advance before you arrive, for us to arrange for the same. We will not be able to cater to last minute food requirements, and neither can we cancel meals that are ordered. Breakfast is complimentary. Breakfast includes dosa or idlis with sambar and chutney; or appams or paputtu with egg curry. Breakfast is served along with bread and marmalade and fruits of the season. Lunch and dinner include basic south Indian meals. Veg meals are priced at INR 450 and chicken meals at 550/- per head. It is important that you specify your requirements when you make your booking. Bon fire is available on request @ INR 750 Chicken barbeque can be arranged @ INR 1100/- per kilogram of chicken and will be served with a bowl of vegetables. Please help yourself to tea and coffee that is available in the pantry. Please show your ID upon arrival. Surveillance on the property: For your own safety we have CCTvs The washing machine is available and located in the outdoor pantry room. The dryer can be used for a charge of INR 250 per cycle of drying. Please bear in mind that the dryer can only accommodate a load of 3 kgs at a time.
