Cozy Family Home on the Wine Route

Beautiful modern family home located 20 km south of Bordeaux on the Graves-Sauternes wine road. Fully equipped comfortable place for a fun getaway with the family (and maybe grandparents) or luxury couple spot. Perfect for a family with two kids, but can accommodate up to 6 people if needed. The house is very spacious with big bedrooms, a nice garden with a heated swimming pool and a spacious characteristic but modern interior that will ensure you enjoy your stay in the warm land of the wine! The space The house was built in the 18th century and has been completely renovated without losing the original character of that time period. There are two floors in the house with an old stylish staircase. On the ground floor there is an entrance, playing area for the kids (that can be transformed into extra bedroom), fully equipped kitchen with a big island for cooking or an aperitif as well as a diner area connected to it. The spacious living room hosts a mezzanine with an office area and library and is connected to the back of the house and garden. In between the kitchen and living room there is a dedicated bathroom with a bath, shower, sink and toilet. All bedrooms are located upstairs. The main bedroom has a kingsize bed (1.80m), second room has a small double bed (1.40m) and third room has a single bed (90cm). The rooms at the front of the house have electric blinds that can be fully closed. All rooms are directly connected to a dedicated bathroom. The "kids" bathroom has a kids bath, shower, sink and toilet and the "adult" bathroom has an Italian shower, sink and toilet. There is a garage connected to the side of the house where a small car can be parked. The garage also hosts a small gym with benchpress and free weights. The garden has a terrace with diner area, trampoline, and a small heated pool (available from mid-may until mid-october) unless you like cold baths. A small part of the house will be closed and will not be available for usage by guests. Guest access The house is directly located at a road, so access is rather easy. Parking can be done in the garage (a key to open the garage will be provided). However, for big cars it is advised to park close to the main square which is a 3-min walk to the house. Getting around is mainly done by foot (for bakery, pharmacy, bar, restaurant) or by car for groceries or more facilities. Bordeaux is easily accessible by car as well as train (train station is at 5-min walk). Other things to note We like to host families like ours with young kids or couples. We won't accept groups of friends and cannot accommodate any group of people that are more than 6, unfortunately. This is our primary family home, which means that there will be many personal belongings in the house while we host you as a guest. Please do not expect to arrive in a hotel. Our house is not a hotel, but a residential house with its own charm and atmosphere. We will try to arrange and clean the house as best as we can before your arrival to make sure you have a lovely stay.
