Treetop Cottage is a unique and tranquil 2nd floor private guest house just a short walk from downtown Mount Dora. Equipped for short or long term stays with a full kitchen, washer/dryer, BBQ and private patio. This 600+ sq ft space with a 65+ ft private driveway is perfect for couples, cyclists and boaters. Located in the historic district, close to downtown, Lake Dora, the Lighthouse and Boardwalk, Donnelly Park, Renningers and the Mount Dora Trail. *This is a smoke and pet free cottage. Guests will have the entire 600+ sq ft Treetop Cottage to themselves with a 65+ ft grass driveway leading up to the cottage and a private entrance. The recently renovated space is equipped with everything you need; full kitchen, walk-in shower, queen bed, washer/dryer, BBQ and lighted outdoor patio. The patio and BBQ for the cottage is just at the bottom of the stairs. Please only use areas indicated for Treetop Cottage. Guests are invited to use the ground floor private patio and BBQ at the bottom of the stairs. There’s also a place to store bikes in the hallway under the stairs. Please use the grass drive at the back of the property which is located on 12th Ave. This is a private drive exclusively for the Treetop Cottage. We'll give you your privacy but if you need anything at all, we're here for you! If you've forgotten to pack an essential, contact us before you run out to buy it. If we have it on hand we'll be happy to provide it. This neighborhood is quite charming with beautiful trees and historic homes. We love it here because it's quiet considering it just a short walk to downtown shopping, dining, entertainment and events. If you stay with us on a weekday and are out on the patio, you may hear the sounds of young children at play during recess at the Christian Academy behind us. Walking is a great way to get to downtown and it’s just a short walk away. If you prefer to drive, there are several parking lots in the downtown area. The closest lot is at the end of McDonald Street on the right hand side. A third option is to call Mount Dora Transit which provides a complimentary shuttle cart ride in the downtown area. Remember to tip your driver! Cyclists will enjoy being less than 1.2 miles from the Mount Dora Trail, Adrenaline Bike Works and the Tremain Street Greenway. During your stay you'll enjoy a curated collection of original artwork on display in the cottage. Our primary artist is the late Carmine Ballarino, an award winning art director/copywriter from NYC.
