With a cinema-style room, full sized pool table, dart board, vinyl record player and a speakeasy-style chesterfield board-game area with a vintage monopoly board. We also have a fully kitted gym to keep you on track including a water rower. There’s something for everyone at our cabin. Start your mornings with coffee at the breakfast bar or take it outside to the overhanging deck for fresh air and sound of the wildlife. For dinner, gather in the bright, open-plan kitchen/dining/living space or grill on on the deck with plenty of space to host. The fully stocked kitchen includes spices and herbs for easy, flavorful cooking. A-frame windows flood the cabin with natural light and a tucked-in-the-forest feel. Ellenville is our closest town, and it’s just a 10-minute drive from here. Parking there is free and there’s plenty of space. Other things to note Welcome to our cozy mountain escape! Nestled in the heart of nature, our mountain cabin offers the perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life. You will be falling asleep and waking up to the serene sounds of wildlife, we get all sorts of beautiful animals from deers, turkeys, turtles, bears and croaking frogs all sharing their home in the Catskills. While we embrace the beauty of mountain life, please be aware that storms, both rain and snow, can occasionally cause power cuts (mountain living) and cell signals may be spotty in some areas. We kindly ask you to consider these factors when planning your stay upstate, as some situations are beyond our control. Buts that’s all part of reconnecting with nature and that digital detox! Safety is our top priority, so please drive carefully. The roads are windy, and during the warmer months, deer are often seen. In winter, the roads can be slippery, so a 4x4 or snow chains are recommended if the conditions are bad, especially when reaching the cabin at the top of a hill. Please note the cabin does not have central AC. For added convenience, two of the bedrooms have window AC units and fans are provided for added comfort. The basement downstairs keeps cooler year round. The wood pellet stove in the basement is your working stove, ensuring warmth and cozy evenings for snuggly movies in the cinema room. The Malm wood stove is not in use, but it adds a rustic bohemian charm to the cabin. We are set on an acre of land but do have a set of neighbours visible to the left of the property with high top privacy trees. Occasionally during some months of the year (spring/summer), burn bans can be in effect, if you feel like this could affect your stay please be sure to check the NY state website for burn ban details. This is to protect the land and avoid wild fires. Dogs are always welcome at our cabin! Please keep them on a leash in the yard due to the open nature and absence of fences. We can accommodate up to two dogs per stay, with a non-refundable pet fee of $50.
