Welcome to Shifflett’s Ole Homeplace. Two-bedroom house nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains along a stocked trout river. Located within 10 minutes of the Shenandoah National Park- Swift Run Gap Entrance and Appalachian Trail Hiking entrance. Within 15 miles of 10 of the vineyards along the Monticello Wine Trail. Take a day trip to some of Central Virginia's attractions-Monticello, Montpelier, Ashlawn, Natural Bridge and Luray Caverns. The space Spacious two bedroom house with covered porch and fire pit overlooking the river. The ceiling in one of the bedrooms is low. Grill over an open fire, or a gas grill, both are provided. Property has access to Swift Run, a stocked trout stream. Guest access Spacious yard with river access. Other things to note Enjoy antiques, unique arts pottery, wineries, hiking and beautiful mountains, Greene County is the place. Beautiful Greene County is the ideal central location to stay while visiting many of our regional historic sites. A scenic drive east takes you to Montpelier, home of James Madison. Or, head south through Charlottesville to tour Thomas Jefferson's Monticello and James The region is rich in Civil War sites and is part of the Journey Through Hallowed Ground, a National Heritage Area.
