In spite of this tourist boom, the city has managed to some extent to keep the traditional slow Montenegrin lifestyle. The locals are very welcoming and you are never annoyed by street vendors. Herceg Novi is town of sunshine, flowers, steps, painters and poets, is a stone picture set in marvelous botanic garden situated on the terraces and slopes of mount Orjen. The most famous tourist attractions and historical monuments in Herceg Novi are castle Forte Mare, a clock tower built by Austrians in 19th century, the Kanli tower built by Turks. It is also well known as a spa and health center, nearby Igalo has an abundance of healing sea mud and mineral water springs. Herceg Novi is far 45 km from Kotor, 20km from airport Tivat (by ferry) and 40km from the airport Cilipi-Dubrovnik. Spacious open plan living room.
