Great basecamp near Buena Vista & Fairplay in Ranch of the Rockies. Close to hiking, biking, 4 wheeling, rafting, kayaking, fishing, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, old "ghost towns" to explore, mining history... Within an hour - Breck, Copper Mtn, Vail, and Monarch ski resorts as well as Leadville if you're participating in or spectating at one of their events! Have an adventure, come back to watch the sunset over Marmot and East Buffalo Peak then head to town for a nice dinner and drinks! The space The home is 3bd/2ba, ~1700sqft and has amazing mountain views from the living room, porch and master bedroom! It is situated on just over 4 acres, with natural vegetation. Bring a hammock or hang out on the deck and just enjoy the sunset over the mountains. As for sleeping arrangements, there is a king bed in the master, a queen in the first guest room, a queen and two bunk beds in the second, and an air mattress that could be set up in the living room if more sleeping spaces are needed. There is a lot of wildlife in the area! A great activity is to sit out on the front porch and see what walks through the property. Please note that the vegetation is all natural and there is no grass or landscaping. Thus you may encounter burrs. There is a dog brush and comb available if our canine guests need. *Important*: Bears have been seen in the neighborhood. To protect both them, the residents of the neighborhood and our guests, absolutely do not leave food or garbage outside or in your vehicles. Review the instructions on what to do with these items when you arrive. Guest access There is a key pad to enter the house (location and code provided after booking) and a couple of other sets of keys available upon entry. There is ample parking in the driveway - 3 large spots to the left of the garage and more further down the driveway. RV shore power is also available upon request. If this is something you are interested in, send us a message and we can provide the instructions. Other things to note Provided are a couple sets of bags games for fun on the property. Wifi is provided via Starlink - satellite internet. The TV has streaming apps pre-loaded. We are very open to longer/mid-term stays at our property. It is nice to spend over a month in the mountains to get away from it all. AirBnB unfortunately does not allow us to set different monthly discounts based on the time of the year so, if you are interested in a longer term stay, please send us an inquiry and we would be happy to work with you! Our refund policy is listed as "firm" simply for protection against bookings and cancellations that have caused other potential guests to miss out on staying at the home. However, we do understand that things come up and that plans need to change. If you book and need to cancel outside of the "full refund" window, please reach out to us and we will be happy to work with you.
