Sleep in the next day or walk to 15 casual & upscale eateries, Spa at The Four Seasons Resort, or try Golf at 6 nearby Courses. Private entry steps you directly into the main room with a high ceiling; a mini-kitchenette is to the left plus a study desk and chair with surge protecting power strip. above the deskj is a large French double-paned window. French doors and windows are framed with black-out mint-colored blackout drapes. Sharon and I travel quite a bit, but the keypad gets you in and out securely. Your Sanctuary is located on a quaint pocket of 60+ quiet Americana family tract homes bordering a small 9-hole country club, close to the intersection of two popular suburban streets. The new YMCA and a varietal cornucopia of eateries, a large grocery store, dry cleaners, and a hobby shop are all within a 3/4 mile walk from your doorstep. We are near the intersections of Thousand Oaks Blvd. and Lindero Canyon Road (which is a direct onramp/exit of the Freeway 2 miles away). If you are on foot, public bus transportation is near the intersection to take you pretty much where you need to go. Westlake Lake is straight down Lindero Canyon, about 3.5 miles to the south, and includes a small yacht club, pristine views, and some great restaurants. Our town is a part of the greater Conejo Valley, so search "The Conejo Valley Guide." For outdooring, take to any of dozens of beautiful bike and hiking trails throughout the Santa Monica Mountains Preserve. Before you take off, reserve your spot for tours and wine tasting available at several working wineries in Malibu Appalachia. see winetraveler dot com The 101 North takes you to Ronald Reagan Library in 15 minutes, and keep going up the coast to Ventura (30 min), Santa Barbara (30 more), and the famous Central Coast Wine Country (50 minutes more) where they filmed the movie "Sideways." see winetourssb dot com Keep your eye on your GPS for heavy traffic, but to do the BIG attractions and tours in "LA" like walking the Hollywood Stars, and enjoying world-class Theater at the Pantages, Disney, or Ahmanson. Downtown LA's Coliseum, Museums, and Professional Hockey, Soccer, and Lakers Basketball is all there, just blocks apart. Begin the day by breakfasting at the Beverly Hills Hotel, or roller coasting on the Santa Monica Pier over the Pacific Ocean. 50 miles on the 405 south, you can find the new $2.5 Billion SoFi Rams & Chargers Stadium and LAX to take a flight anywhere. 30 minutes further south takes you to Manhattan Beach and the Long Beach Harbor and Aquarium. Another 30 minutes more and you'll be standing in line at the original (and best) Disneyland or and Knotts Berry Farm!
