Willow Cottage, a home, in the centre of St Davids, Pembrokeshire. Within a 2-minute walk to the city centre and a short drive to Whitesands Beach. Free parking for one car opposite, arrive, unpack and walk in. With an open-plan lounge and dining area to the kitchen and beyond to a secluded, sun-drenched patio with a neat outdoor setting for you to BBQ as the sun sets or sit and chat over lazy morning breakfast. We offer short breaks and flexible pricing for even 1 or 2 guests. The space Willow Cottage is a stone-built cottage with exposed walls, painted exposed stone walls, character fireplaces and a huge driftwood tree artistically supporting part of the open plan ceiling between the sitting room and dining area. It is semi-detached and couldn't be more different to its pretty neighbour. The duck egg blue paint and sunburst yellow front garden gate, name sign and rainwater furniture all add to the charm. Flower beds on both sides, we're constantly replanting and redesigning the flower beds for colour and scent. So, go through the front door of the porch, drop your coats and shoes and step into a deceptively large groundfloor space for such a period cottage. With a huge chaise long for two and matching fitted L shape settee seating 5 you can really relax. With broadband and a modern TV and DVD player, you can relax with your latest box set on the odd wet day or share a film with friends after supper and a long day on the beach. The kitchen has a modern 2 oven, gas & electric oven, a Neff microwave and a variety of kitchen units for all your needs, complete with a Bosch Fridge-freezer. Either side of your kitchen is a sunny yellow and white tiled shower and bathroom and the sun lounge with some extra utility space and recliners. From there you step through french doors to the lower patio and up to the larger area with modern L shaped Bramblecrest rattan plush seating and glazed matching table with a huge sun brolly to keep you cool on the scorching days we have here. Guest access Willow has its own parking slot in a marked bay opposite which I pay for use as Willow is a home. Leave your car there all week or a few days of your stay, if you prefer and walk around St Davids to St Nuns, Carfai or even Whitesands. Explore locally or catch the local small minibus that services all the coastal villages and many of the beaches or the service to Fishguard or Haverfordwest. Other things to note Willow is an old period cottage. There are no straight walls, you will find a cobwebs here or there and exposed stone walls will always have a bit of dust!! Sometimes you'll find a spider or a woodlouse or both! We take care to clean thoroughly and even we can make mistakes, or insects are clever. Its not a catastrophe to find a web or woodlouse but I or someone else will come over. It is how I help that matters. Breakages during your stay are common. Tell me immediately and we can fix it or replace it immediately yourself just chat to me Most guests just offer to replace the item and some don't. We leave that up to you. Please be aware that the damage deposit is held for the hot tub or I request funds via Airbnb because in the past we have needed to use it, very, very rarely. Since running B&B etc since 1997 I have only had to use the deposit 5 times, one last year when the tub was damaged by incorrect use and children being left unattended. That's a pretty good statistic and I love having guests at Willow Cottage. If you really feel there is a big problem in the cleaning area of service call Jill the cleaner or myself. You will be given our direct dial on booking confirmation or one week before your break with us. Jill, Annie and I clean and provide all the bedding and make up the beds ourselves. We are fussy and very bothered about cleanliness and bedding. Beach Towels we do provide at a small charge because some people prefer their own, towels have disappeared and towels have been used too often on the beach when they are for the cottage only. So please bring beach towels. Oh and don't wash your wet suits in the bath, it scratches it and damages it with the sand. Or the hot tub..
