Welcome to the Bear Den! Come stay in our beautiful mountain cabin that has hiking trails in the backyard! Nestled in Peaceful Valley, this cabin is newly built and every detail was thought of, from the log railings, to the custom made wood island. You are just feet away from the Buchanan Trail, Peaceful Valley Campground and Camp Dick. We are at an elevation of 8,300” and often have wildlife such a bears, moose and deer in our yard. The space This cabin has a loft area with two full size beds and a bedroom on the main floor with a queen size bed. There is a bathroom on the main floor with a full-size shower tub. Guests will also have access to the laundry room. The kitchen is perfect with all appliances and a custom, homemade, wood countertop. We include a crockpot, mixing bowls and other baking and cooking dishes to make you feel right at home. Additionally, there is a Keurig for single cups of coffee and a 12-cup coffee pot to fit the needs of all guests. The living room is large and spacious with two couches, a chair and a warm, cozy fireplace. We have large flat screen tv with DISH and a Blu-Ray/DVD Player with a large selection of movies. There are also a variety of boards games to play. Please note that we often have wildlife hanging around our house. Please use caution when they are near and keep your distance. Refer to our guestbook for more tips on staying safe during your trip! Guest access We have a gate onto our property that has a keypad deadbolt. The house also has a keypad for entry. Codes will be shared prior to check-in. There is lots of parking space in the driveway and we have a ramp that leads up to the front door. Other things to note For winter bookings, 4-wheel-drive, is highly recommended. Additionally, we have several sets of snowshoes and poles for our guests to use! Also in the winter time, there is lots of weekend traffic with visitors coming to the trails to ski, snowshoe and mountain bike. They park along the road in front of the house, however, there has never been a problem with access to the driveway. We only have Verizon cell service at our cabin. However, we have Wi-Fi that devices and phones can connect to. We also have a Ring alarm system, which will be disarmed, but can be used to access Emergency Services in emergencies.
