Kamshet Lakeside Serene Artist Villa

Tucked away in the Sahyadri hills, touching a beautiful lake & surrounded by lush greenery. Enjoy a swim with a breathtaking mountain sunset view or take a refreshing walk in the orchard or just relax in the gazebo with a book to leaf through. The space The villa rests on a 5 acre property, surrounded by beautiful fruit trees including mango, papaya, guava among others, flowering plants and the calm waters of the Vadiwale lake (which makes for a refreshing swim any time of day). The villa has one spacious bedroom and one semi-open loft room. It is attached to a huge studio (15 X 30 feet wooden floor) which can be used for yoga or meditation activities. Guests can also relax in the large sunken bath in lake facing master bathroom. The farm is a labour of love created by artists and our wonderful caretaker couple is available at all times for any assistance. WiFi is there but erratic. We do have a mini-library of books on varied topics from literature to pop culture! Phone network coverage is not very good, but we can provide a land-line if needed for urgent calls to Mumbai and Pune. Basic first aid kit is available but guests must carry their own special medications. We provide comfortable mattress beds, bed linens and towels. If required we can provide raised real beds as well. No toiletries. With countryside living, power cuts are common. We have a back-up generator and inverters to provide electricity. Guests must carry their own repellents/nets for mosquitoes and farm insects. The windows are netted to keep mosquitoes out of the rooms. Other things to note Indian monsoons are a great time to visit. The entire property turns into various shades of green and rain showers with the monsoon breeze make for an unforgettable experience. The fireflies before the monsoons is a highlight. In winters enjoy the cold with bonfire and star lit skies and moonlit lake.
