Description

Lovely, inviting newly-decorated and furnished “cottage” studio on our verdant Montecito property surrounded by oak trees, plants, flowers and colorful bougainvillea. Cottage is full of natural light, a patio with comfortable furniture to enjoy your breakfast or sip a glass of wine in the evening while viewing the stars. Butterfly Beach is a 10-minute walk away and sauntering along the beach is a pure delight. Popular Coast Village Road is lined with fine restaurants, shops and bakeries. The space A cozy clean cottage studio, newly furnished, with bathroom (tub shower), and kitchen with full stove and refrigerator. A queen-size bed with lots of pillows and a comforter. Cozy couch and a 42” TV. Best of all a lovely garden patio. TRANSPARENCY: The good news is that there is no daily parking fee, no resort fee, no sales or use taxes, no tipping. The bad news is that the County of Santa Barbara treats Airbnbs the same as hotels, thus imposing a 12% Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) and a South Coast Tourism Business Improvement District Fee (TBID) of $4 per day. Airbnb should include the tax on the price it quotes you. So, for example, a $175 price, if you add the 12% tax ($21) plus the $4 fee, is actually going to come to $200. Just saying. Guest access Separare studio unit and patio separate from main house. Other things to note We have lived in Montecito for forty years and would be delighted to point you to the best places to go. We want you to have a brilliant experience here. Inge is a retired social worker, born and raised in Germany, who loves traveling, good books, and gardening. Steve, once a lawyer, is a writer (you can check him out on Google), an artist, and photographer. Interested in local history and literature.
