Cottage in Hartland

Secluded home located on a small, organic family farm. Very quiet area. It is perched on a hillside with nice views of Quechee, VT. Distance to Quechee is 3 miles; to Woodstock, 8 miles; to Hanover, NH, 12 miles.4 wheel drive vehicle required in winter. There are 2 bedrooms upstairs, one with full size bed and the other with two twins. There is also a study downstairs with a full size futon bed and a door that closes for privacy. Bathroom is upstairs. The living/dining area is open and airy. The space There are decks on back and front, with a nice view from the front deck. The house is surrounded by woods and fields,with only our farmhouse nearby. The furniture includes a mixture of antiques and modern pieces, with vibrant colors throughout. This house is not appropriate for someone who cannot easily walk a flight of stairs. The stairs do not have a gate at the top, so toddlers could be at risk of falling. The decks also do not have gates across the steps, there would be a risk of falls for very young children there, as well. The outlets do not have childproof covers. Other things to note We are committed to sustainability, and have attempted to keep this woodsy retreat as environmentally friendly as possible, Our farm has solar panels for electricity. The flooring is a green product, marmoleum. We use a mixture of antiques and reclaimed furniture in order to minimize purchasing cheap, "disposable" furniture for use in our property. We expect guests to treat the cottage gently so that it remains comfortable for future guests, friends and family.
