We are a couple with two children and we are offering to rent our house during our vacation. Located 10 min from Pau, 1 hour from the first ski resorts and 1 hour from the ocean, it is a good compromise to vary activities. It is located on a hillside and has an unobstructed view of the Pyrenees. This is an old Béarnaise house that we have completely renovated ourselves. The organization of the house has therefore been completely redesigned according to our way of life. The space Although the terrain is sloping, we have made the exteriors as real living rooms. You will therefore find a furnished and covered terrace with living room and outdoor kitchen (plancha available). Below, an in-ground and private swimming pool, recently renovated, with large submerged walk for evening aperitifs. The private pool also has the advantage of being visible from the deck and the house for surveillance. The vegetable garden will also be self-service. All of its outdoor areas benefit from the unobstructed view. Regarding the house, it consists on the ground floor of a large living room of 80 m2 open plan (living room, dining room and kitchen), the living room facing north with oak floor and stone wall allows you to enjoy a cool area in the house in case of high heat. Air conditioning is also available at the bottom and upstairs. The kitchen is open with a central island and very well equipped for cooking. Large oven, cooker, pastry robot... The ground floor has a south-facing extension that we have just completed. The extension allows you to benefit from the light and the view when the weather is mixed. Note that the extension is finalized except for the exterior plaster (see photos). Regarding the floor, this is the sleeping area, bathroom and toilet. The 3 bedrooms were insulated on the floor and wall for noise. Two bedrooms with double bed and a smaller bedroom with 1 single bed and 1 double sofa bed. The toilet is separated from the bathroom. And the bathroom consists of an Italian shower and a bathtub. This house is particularly well suited for one or two couples with children. Moreover, children will not be forgotten in this house since a large number of indoor and outdoor games are available! We can also provide two bicycles (including 1 electric for the sometimes difficult hills). Other things to note This is the house we live in year-round, so it's not a very refined "show" house. Although we leave a large number of cupboards available to put your belongings in, you will also find our decoration and our everyday household equipment there.
