Boathouse on Lake Schillersee

Our boathouse on the shore of Lake Schillersee is the perfect place to spend a break in the middle of nature. Hidden in the woods of Mecklenburg Switzerland, here is a unique place for those who want to experience nature up close. Rowing over the lake, fishing, swimming, hiking through the forest, cycling, reading or writing a book on the jetty, listening to the Schilfrau, just enjoy the time and discover the nature and wildlife of Mecklenburg. --- The space The small but spacious house offers a spacious living area. The center is a large wooden table where you can eat and chat and is right in front of the large French doors to the jetty. The small kitchenette is equipped with all necessary utensils, a gas stove and a refrigerator. Guest access The two sleeping camps are, in the duplex style, open to the living area and accessible via wooden stairs. A double bed by the window facing the forest and the possibility to store clothes is on the first level. Two other single beds – which can also be pushed together to form a double if necessary, are on the second level. If you make yourself comfortable here, enjoy a beautiful view over the lake. There is a rowing boat available for all guests, which is attached to the boat dock of the house. Bathing is possible directly from the jetty. If you prefer an entrance from the shore, you can go a few yards to the swimming area with a sunbathing lawn. Fishing is possible with a valid fishing card. Other things to note Surrounded by forest, reed and lake, humans and animals live together and together. Respectful treatment - not only with the energy resources of the house – but in particular with nature, the animals of the forest and the lake, we require for all guests. The supply of the house is also adapted to the special location: Electricity is generated by solar power system. This will operate lights and the water pump. Of course, you can use and recharge your essential technical equipment. Nevertheless, the capacity of the stored electricity is limited and we ask that you handle it. We provide water for you to arrive in canisters (180 liters). The shower water comes out of the shower head in a classic way. Everything goes back here – like at home. Bowls are available for washing your hands in the bathroom or rinsing in the kitchen. Handling dirty water is uncomplicated and described in the house rules for you. The toilet is operated with a pump and can be used conventionally.
