King Bd Apt in 1923 Bungalow w/Private Garden

1 Bdrm apartment with separate living room, dining room, kitchenette and bath in bright lower level of historic bungalow with a lovely private garden. Walkable National Historic Register neighborhood close to Capitol and downtown. Private entrance, kitchenette, washer/dryer, free street parking. Casper king mattress, 100% cotton linens, fast WiFi. Some key rules: Absolutely no smoking on property. Guest can control thermostat but must stay between 66-74°F (just because it's whole-home). The space More: Fresh cotton linens freshly pressed for your arrival adorn the perfect Casper King mattress. The firm but comfy Joybird sofa opens to queen bed, with a topper provided if needed. TV with streaming channels (Netflix, Hulu Plus, Amazon) is available, or use your own logins. Games, Books, Robes, Slippers...If you need anything we haven’t thought of let us know! HVAC is under your control but because it affects the entire house, you are limited to 65-75º F (18-23º C). THE GARDEN: The private garden is visible from the unit but there are no doors that exit directly to it. Instead, you walk out and through the front or rear gates of the house to reach it. You are welcome to hang out in any part of the home's garden...including the rear patio with fountain...but the private garden stays blocked off from the rest of the garden spaces, for your privacy. This is so that you never have to close up your blinds on those windows. THE KITCHENETTE: Sink, dorm-type fridge/freezer, full-sized washer/dryer, microwave, Cuisinart countertop oven, one burner Induction stove. No dishwasher. ACCESSIBILITY: There are 4 steps leading down to the door of this unit. There is a handrail. TALL FOLKS: This apartment has 7' ceilings, with a few “soffits" that drop to 6'5". The full-sized windows and excellent lighting make this a bright comfortable space, but if you are very tall, please be aware. SECURITY: The key code is changed for every guest. There are no cameras or recording devices inside the unit. All entrances have Ring doorbell cameras. INTROVERT? EXTROVERT? Host lives upstairs but spends very little time on the floor immediately above the unit. If she's outside gardening she may greet you on arrival, just to make sure you get in without any difficulty...further contact is always your choice. She will be reachable 24-7 for any emergency. ONE THING YOU MUST DO: Please read all of our house rules and indicate you have done so. Please provide full legal names of any adult guest who is actually staying in the unit. IF YOU SMOKE: Given it's an old house, we will know if you smoke anywhere on property, pretty much immediately. And we will just as quickly cancel your reservation without refund. So please...if you smoke at all, do not think you can just open a window, or whatnot...just book elsewhere. Thank you. Guest access Your space is totally separate with private entrance. There are no shared spaces inside. The private guest garden area is accessible by exiting your unit, then walking around and through a garden gate. Or visit the larger garden area and pick some strawberries, pluck a fresh tomato from our vine, enjoy the old-fashioned front porch swing...you may see us in those areas but are welcome. The guest garden area is a separated, more private spot that has views into your rooms, so you will be the only ones ever allowed there during your stay. Other things to note It is very rare that you can’t park literally right next to your apartment door. Your vehicle will be registered as a guest's when you arrive.
