A lovely sunny double room with King size bed in our family home. There is a wash basin and small fridge in the bedroom and a private bathroom opposite with bath and shower. Fresh towels and linen provided. The space is all yours and will be spotlessly clean :-) We are a short drive from the airport and 5 minutes walk from all the buses on the main route into the city centre, which takes 15-20 minutes. Ideal for couples, solo travellers, business travellers and families with young children. The space Our lovely house, Cherrytrees, is in a quiet neighbourhood just off the main links into town and very close to the airport (10-15 mins drive by car or taxi). The room has a king size bed, a wash basin, wardrobe and chest of drawers if you wish to unpack your bags, plus a full length mirror. We can also provide a fold down camp bed or travel cot if you have any little ones with you. The room also has it's own thermostat for heating so you can adjust the temperature to suit your needs. There is tea and coffee making facilities provided in the room plus a small fridge for milk and anything else that needs to be kept cold. I'm afraid I'm unable to do breakfast anymore as things are a little busy in the morning with 3 children, but cereals, porridge, yoghurt and fruit will be available in your room for when you arrive. Your bathroom is opposite the bedroom (please note it is not ensuite). It will be fully private for you and not shared with anyone else. Again, it has it's own thermostat for heating. We really hope you enjoy your stay :-) Please note, after several reviews stating people are unhappy about having no access to the kitchen, I would like to make this more clear. We are a family home providing a beautiful room to stay and enjoy the sites and restaurants of Edinburgh. I take a lot of effort to ensure you have a comfortable stay. However, I am unable to provide access to the kitchen for practical and hygienic reasons, especially following covid. If you require self catering facilities, please book a different Airbnb. There is a fridge in the room but no other facilities for cooking or reheating food. Thank you. Guest access There is no problem with parking and you can either park outside the house on the driveway or on the street, there are no restrictions. Bus services into town are 5 mins walk away and there is a lovely local wooded area if you would like to explore. During your stay I will usually be around if you need any help with anything as I currently work from home. Other things to note The city of Edinburgh council have recently introduced a visitor levy for stays of up to 5nights in the city - this is 5% on the cost of what you pay per night and is reflected in the slightly increased prices. Other things to note, we have a very friendly old dog, Norah. She is very quiet and great with children and visitors. She spends most of her life sleeping now, so it's unlikely you will even see her! If you would like to check in before 4pm, please just ask as it may be possible if I haven't got guests checking out on the same day. It will also depend on school pick up times. Please note we are very close to the airport by car/taxi, but the airport bus stop is around 10-15 mins walk from our house.
