A newly renovated space, West End Haven is less than 10 minutes away from HSU, Arcata and its best restaurants. Blue Lake is 5 miles down our country road which offers a wonderful array of things to do on a visit. The space Whether you are visiting to enjoy the majestic Redwoods, visiting Humboldt State University, catching steelhead nearby on the Mad River, or enjoying one of Blue Lake’s Dell' Arte’ performances, West End Haven is the perfect place for your relaxing, modern country retreat. Designed especially with you in mind for a relaxing stay, West End Haven has all your needs for a wonderful vacation. A very clean space with vaulted wood ceiling in the living room adds to your comfort. Sprawl out on the sofa to watch your favorite shows on the Smart TV. The kitchen is fully furnished to create a home cooked meal. The studio includes a comfy, spacious queen size bed and a sofa that can transform into a cozy bed. Bathroom is quaint and modern. Hair dryer and amenities are available. Let us know if there is something you need that is missing, we will try and accommodate your needs to make it the best stay for you and your family. West End Haven is great for individuals, couples, romantic getaways, small families and business travelers. Guest access Self check-in and check-out helps ensure your privacy. We are available by text message or by email. We will be happy to help your stay in anyway. There is only one parking space available, so please let us know if you might need additional space for another car. Guests can access the side yard to enjoy the warm country air. Feel free to roam in our garden to pick some fresh fruit and veggies in the summer months. Sorry, but the lower yard space and trampoline is unavailable for our guests. If you have children, please talk to us first before playing on the playground. We are not responsible for any personal injuries or property damage sustained by any guest or guest’s visitors on the property. We are surrounded by nice open spaces and fields. We just ask that you respect our neighbors private property. Hosts live on the property in the main house. Please respect their privacy. There is a black lab and a kitty that loves their backyard, but are willing to share. Don't be alarmed if our dog barks as you come up the driveway! Other things to note OTHER THINGS TO NOTE: ~Coffee, tea, libation and some spices for cooking are available for you to use. ~Consumables such as spices and condiments may be left behind by previous guests if they are not empty. However, it is up to guests’ discretion and inspection to consume these items if they wish. ~The place is for a quiet retreat for visiting the area and is not used as a party house. ~Please be cautious when backing out of the driveway onto the country road. ~There is no cable TV and cell phone service is spotty due to our rural location. Wifi is available for your devices.
