Sunset Nest in Aptos Mountain Retreat & Spa

Om Oasis is a remote mountain-top retreat center and spa getaway with 7 guest accommodation in total spread out over our 3 developed acres of our 5 acre property, making it easy to distance from other guests. The space This small complete home contains a full kitchen, bathroom, living room, high ceilings and gorgeous sunset view porch with separate bedroom off the porch area. Lots of natural light pouring in from sky lights and glass doors with huge windows make the smaller space feel open and peaceful. The cozy living room has Restoration Hardware leather furniture adorning the main area, with air purifying plants atop a storage loft with high ceilings. For dining, there is a tiled line-bar with stool seating that adjoins the kitchen. There is a private door to your own partially covered deck for mountain sunset views. The bedroom (privately accessed from the porch) offers a king size bed and gorgeous forest and plant views from all its windows. Huge monstera plants above the closet and a romantic electric ‘fireplace heater’ with rainbow ambient lighting make the space cozy and warm. The bathroom has a claw foot tub/shower, sink, new vanity and toilet. The kitchen contains a fridge, propane stove/oven, tea kettle, organic coffee, french press and tea. Plates, bowls, cups, cookware and silverware are available to make eating at home easy. There is a bamboo garden and meditative pond just outside the front door. See it illuminated at night! The Sunset Nest is located on the upper portion of our wood-chipped property (we don't recommend rolled luggage). PLEASE NOTE this unit is located NEXT DOOR to our BAMBOO COTTAGE accommodation. The proximity of the two units is approximately 4 feet from your kitchen wall to their living room wall. If this is a concern you may want to look into another accommodation by clicking our profile. The Sunset Nest is one of the original structures of our land and has a rustic charisma to it. Though we've added updated appliances and cozy furnishings, there is an element of charm we wanted to keep by incorporating the original farm-house style construction. This unit is great for couples and solo adventurers. Unfortunately due to the style of our retreat requiring some walking on loose natural, sometimes steep or dusty paths, wheelchair access is not suggested. Guest access During your stay with us you will have 24-hour access to the saltwater pool (not heated) and main hot tub at no additional cost, first come first served. Additionally we have a BY RESERVATION ONLY Private Bamboo Spa and Sauna Deck that costs $100 for a 2-hour session and includes access to our infrared sauna and cold plunge as well. You will also have access to all our outdoor amenities during including our forest sanctuary, redwood deck, meditations pond, rolling gardens and easy wood-chipped walking paths. There are no hiking trails on-site but the Forest of Nisene Marks State Park entrance is just a short drive into Aptos Village. You can also book a variety of healing services through the link in your booking confirmation message. You can expect to see typical spa services plus our specialty extras! You will receive a list of services inside your accommodation as well with QR code to the service booking link. Other things to note The quiet hours on our property begin at 10:00pm and go until 10:00am. Our aim is to create a calm and peaceful atmosphere for you. We ask that you offer this back to the community in return. Nature's presence is strong on the land. We have a large variety of plants and animals for you to enjoy. Showing respect for their presence is greatly appreciated. We value maintaining a symbiotic relationship with nature and we hope to attract like-minded individuals. We try our best not to spray insecticides and poisons here. If you are afraid of insects or being in nature, this may not be the right fit for you. We have 1 roaming outdoor and very friendly cat named Cura. Please be aware that wild animals also frequent our grounds including bobcat, coyote, fox, mountain lion, raccoon, skunk, and deer.
