We visit our holiday home frequently and we have had many great experiences at the trendy Twelves bar and restaurant (best to book and only a few minutes away) as well as Saltys bar and restaurant located on South beach. Florentino’s italian with views over Tenby harbour is worth a visit and for those wanting to splash out a little may enjoy the hidden Plantagenet restaurant on Quay Hill. The Cube, Cove and Billycan are also worth a visit with a variety of menu choices. Caffe Vista only a few minutes walk away is a great start to the day with a coffee and beautiful view over North beach. The esplanade is a must visit in Tenby with far reaching views of South beach and Caldey Island (popular tourist day trip by boat) and why not stop at the drinks terrace for a cold beer or glass of wine. On a beautiful day this is strong competition to the Mediterranean. Tenby town offers plenty of pubs with most of them having great beer gardens as well as being dog friendly. We often frequent, Harbwr Brewery Tap and Kitchen, Tenby House Inn and the Hope and Anchor The beaches are all within a 7 minute walk and Castle beach being unique with the left hand side of the slipway allowing well behaved dogs in the summer months. Castle beach also provides toilet facilities, coffee shop and beach bar. For those wanting some other ideas for all different ages it is worth searching the following, which are either local or all within a circa 15 minute drive. - Boat ride to Caldey Island (either fast rib boats or passenger trauler boats) - launched from Castle beach - Follyfarm -ideal for animal lovers and young ones - Heatherton - this offers some great fun and includes activities from the young to grand parents (crazy golf, archery, go karting, bumber boats, high ropes and much more). You can pay for individual items and don’t need a day pass (perfect if weather patchy) - Oakwood - this is Wales most popular theme park and worth a visit if that is your sort of thing (if you pre book online they used to take Tesco club card vouchers - worth checking) - Carew carting (another step up from heatherton karting) - Manorbier Castle and beach (also great pub here - worth a visit) - Bosherton Lilly Ponds - Freshwater magic walk (some great pubs nearby) - Saundersfoot (great walk from Saundersfoot to Wisemans bridge pub - well worth a visit) Other things to note We have provided floor plans showing the layout of all the accommodation.
