The Butterfly Room @ Beloved Gardens Sanctuary

A peaceful sanctuary home! Lounge by the pool with a book, enjoy the quiet atmosphere as butterflies float by in the garden, play some tunes, pick fresh fruits and veggies (when in season), cook a nourishing meal, have a game-night, roast some s'mores, jog in the park - take care of mind/body/soul. <3 Prime location! One block from John Prince Park, 10 minutes to the beach and downtown, close to I-95! The space In the daytime, the room fills with light, and the butterflies flutter just outside your window, bouncing from milkweed flower to porterweed flower and back again. On cooler nights with the window open, a light breeze carries the subtle fragrance of the sweet almond bush outside, gently caressing your nose with each breath as you fall asleep. The plush bed and soft sheets become your own cocoon for a restful nights sleep, in preparation for a brand new day! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Fast wifi and desk setup in the bedroom is great for remote workers. Room has a comfortable queen-sized bed, dresser, desk with chair, clock, fan, laundry basket, full-size mirror, and closet with hangers and shoe rack. Mostly private bathroom located just across the hall (only shared if friends come to visit). ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Typical 1950's built Florida home! Warm and inviting, with lots of musical instruments, games to play, and even a record player. Large library with a wide assortment of both fiction and non-fiction books to read during your stay. Cozy up with your book of choice in the bright sun-room with beautiful views of the garden and pool outside, or under the stars while lounging in the pool-side hammock! The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and baking, and even making your own pasta! There's a basket of workout gear and yoga mats in the living room to maintain balance. The backyard is beautifully landscaped with fruit trees, veggies, and native Florida plants that feed the birds, bees and butterflies; with a kidney bean pool, hammock, in-ground trampoline, geodesic dome (perfect place for yoga), patio and fire pit. Please note - there are NO TV's here, but Wifi is fast enough for streaming on your own device. This is a beautiful, heart-centered space filled with love, and I'm grateful to get to share my home with you! I hope it lends itself to being the perfect place for you to experience peace and clarity on your journey! <3 Guest access Guests have access to the entire house and yard (except for my own private bedroom and bathroom). 1 parking spot in the driveway is provided, and additional street parking is available. During your stay This is my home, so I and my cat live here. I work from home two days a week, and am available to offer help throughout your stay. In my off-hours, I am open to conversation and sharing meals together if you'd like, and am also respectful of privacy and personal space. Other things to note I have one small indoor-only cat who is very loving, and shy of new people. Recycling is encouraged (not required, though don't be surprised if I dig through the trash! Ha!). Compost bin is available for organic kitchen scraps. I tend to keep the thermostat around 76 degrees, but could go as low as 74 for shorter-term guests.
