Secluded Hideaway Above Park City w/Hammock Floor

Get out of the city and runaway to the mountains for an unforgettable experience! This beautiful, secluded 2-acre escape is situated at 8,000 feet and hidden by a mature grove of aspens. Accessible only by 4x4/AWD (snow chains required Oct-May), the 1,000 square foot cozy cabin features 2 bedrooms, 1.5 baths, a suspended hammock floor, full kitchen, cozy fireplace, and deck. Be prepared for an isolated getaway with breathtaking views of the Uintas that are nothing short of spectacular! Please note that we do not have checkin/checkout options on weekends (Saturday or Sunday). Each season offers its own unique experience and The Hideaway has all the amenities you’ll need for a comfortable and relaxing stay during any month, including plenty of blankets, a fireplace (for fall/winter seasonal use only), and a heating/cooling system. The Hideaway was built in 1976 and fully remodeled in 2021. We made it a top priority to preserve the original structure and materials so that you could see The Hideaway’s gorgeous history both on the interior and exterior. It now boasts a full wrap around kitchen with fridge/freezer, stove, oven, microwave, and essential cookware/utensils necessary for dining in, including an electric water heater and automatic coffee maker. It also has a new half bath upstairs and a modernized full bath with standing shower on the main level. Not to mention the fun additions like a fully suspended hammock floor, swing chair, and the floor-to-ceiling glass wall because this loft was designed to bliss out! Spend time unwinding with the living room Smart TV to stream your Netflix/Hulu/HBO accounts, or go nostalgic with various favorite childhood games and books. You can also work remotely thanks to WiFi (yes, you're remote, but not unconnected). The private front deck is all yours to watch the sunrise over the Uintas and stars at night or get in a quick exercise session using the included yoga mats and foam roller. The rules we have in place are for your safety and the safety of our community, as well as meeting our HOA's expectations of us as hosts. Guest access This magnificent cabin is situated on two acres of mature aspens and pines. It is located just up the lane from The Treehouse Utah, our other property for rent (visit our profile for details), and our chalet, where we live and work full-time with our circus of critters. Guests have full and private access to The Hideaway and its property. YEAR-ROUND VEHICLE REQUIREMENT Our roads are unpaved; they are a combination of dirt, mud, gravel, ice and/or snow packed and not always plowed. A 4x4 or AWD with clearance is required for year-round access; FOUR METAL SNOW CHAINS ARE MANDATORY during winter and mud seasons (October 15th through May 31st). We do not refund for inability to access or if we deny guest entry at any time due to insufficient equipment. If you get stuck, contact us immediately as you cannot block our single lane roads, which are also emergency exits. Recovery is at your expense and will cost $300+. If you are looking to rent a vehicle, please be aware that traditional agencies like Hertz or Enterprise DO NOT ALLOW CHAINS ON THEIR VEHICLE (ie. they won't provide and you can't purchase since you don't know tire size upfront and chains are specific to tire size and not available for local purchase in our area). Your only option is to reach out to our partners at Mark Miller Subaru for an AWD rental. After you've booked, let us know your vehicle model; we have chains for rent that match their tire sizes. Chain rentals are $50/per stay. Mark Miller Subaru donates 3% of your rental rate to Summit Land Conservatory, a local non-profit dedicated to preserving wild land for public use. Other things to note Our two outdoor cats may make an appearance. Please know that they have access to our chalet at all times and are not in need of food or a place to crash—don’t allow them to sneak inside The Hideaway—but outdoor cuddles are very welcome!
