Description
We are 15 degrees cooler than Palm Springs in the summer. Our back area stays at around 70 degrees in the winter. This was a cattleman's bunkhouse at the turn of the century and is located on the San Jacinto/Santa Rosa National Monument. It borders with the San Bernardino National Forest and is across the highway from hiking and equestrian trails. The space If you love nature hiking and exploring this is the place for you! We are the high desert about 4000 ft above Palm Desert/Palm Springs. In the summer we are about 15 degrees cooler than Palm Springs. Our winter temperatures tend to be in the 50s during the day and 30s at night although the back of the property where the jacuzzi and sauna are tends to stay around 70 degrees during the day during the winter be cause it has direct southern exposure. We have an on-site gallery that features local artists. There is a diagram of the layout of the property in the photos. Guests have access to about 1/4 acre of the property. Just outside the door of the casita is a gas BBQ grill. Propane is provided. Guest access Guests have access to the back of the 1/2 acre property with jacuzzi and sauna leading into the national forest and seating areas around the casita that have views of the mountains. Door has an entry code. Parking is next to the casita. Other things to note For weather updates look up Pinyon Pines and Accuweather. We are 1000 ft lower than Mountain Center. Verizon and ATT have reach here. There is full Internet access. Directions can only be gotten with GGLE maps. Other applications will take you to the wrong place. The door is a bit low as people were 6 inches shorter back then but there is plenty of headroom on the inside. A continental breakfast is included for the first day with breakfast rolls, friut, and orange juice.
