Enjoy a quiet stay in our bright room on the 2nd floor with views of the countryside. Comfortably furnished with a queen-size double bed and a desk. The Goetheanum is just a 7-minute walk away, making the room an ideal retreat for conference attendees. The surrounding area invites you for walks. Basel can be reached in 10 minutes by car or by public transport. A coffee maker, kettle, mineral water and a well-maintained shared bathroom are available. Shared use of the refrigerator in the kitchen. The space THE HOUSE AND THE SPACE A total of 5 rooms are available in our beautiful, quietly located house with a garden. This cozy double room is located on the 2nd floor and overlooks the countryside. FACILITIES The room is furnished with a comfortable queen-size double bed (160 x 200 cm). SHARED BATHROOM The lockable bathroom on this floor has a shower, a bathtub and a toilet. It is shared by you and the guests of the other two guest rooms on the same floor. COFFEE AND TEA STATION Each room is equipped with a coffee capsule machine and a kettle. Coffee capsules, teas, and mineral water are ready for you. There is also a fridge in the kitchen that you can share for the food you bring with you. You are welcome to look for something to read on the bookshelf in the hallway. LOCATION AND SURROUNDINGS The house is in a quiet area. Short or even longer walks, for example to the nearby Dorneck ruins or to the Eremitage forest park in Arlesheim, are easily doable on foot directly from the house. The Goetheanum is just a 7-minute walk away, which is ideal for conference guests. Basel is also close by: just 10 minutes by car and 30 minutes by public transport. PROPERTY FOR PEACE AND QUIET AND A PLACE TO RETREAT The accommodation is particularly appreciated by people who are attending a conference or event at the Goetheanum in Dornach and are looking for a quiet and relaxing retreat between events. Many of our guests come back regularly and choose our house precisely because of its quiet, personal atmosphere. That is why the property is primarily geared toward guests who value peace and quiet, consideration, and a relaxed environment. We ask all guests to use the rooms and the house quietly and considerately, especially during quiet hours. PLEASE NOTE BEFORE BOOKING The house is not equipped for families with young children. There are open staircases without child safety gates throughout the house, no cribs or cots, and no amenities specifically designed for toddlers. Due to these structural features and the house's special purpose as a quiet retreat for conference and seminar attendees, we ask families with small children to carefully consider whether the property meets their needs before booking. The safety and well-being of all guests, as well as the peaceful atmosphere of the house, are particularly important to me.
