Happy Valley - Private Beach Georgian Bay Cottage

PRIVATE BEACH 3 BDRM COTTAGE ON GEORGIAN BAY! Happy Valley is a 3 bedroom 6 person, dog-friendly cottage with a PRIVATE beach on Georgian Bay. An open concept cottage with expansive windows looking directly out to the private beach-(great for those with young children). The beach tapers slowly into the waters. A very large deck provides a great spot to unwind with stunning views. A 2 person hammock 2 large floating water rafts, a floating dock & canoe with lifejackets provide fun for everyone. The space Happy Valley is a quaint cottage that provides an escape from the city with waterfront access and incredible views!! We provide self check in - easily check yourself in with the key pad. We provide free parking on premises. Our intent is to make your stay very comfortable and convenient. We provide a fully stocked kitchen, including outdoor and indoor plates and cups, cutlery, wine glasses (4), shot glasses (10), 2 beer mugs, toaster, microwave, kettle, pots, pans, baking sheets, pizza pan, cooking utensils, cooking knives, garlic press, measuring cups and spoons, can opener, whisk, strainer, vegetable peeler, plastic serving dishes, bbq utensils, a coffee machine with filters, chopping board, stove, fridge, a drawer full of dish towels. We also provide dishwashing liquid and a sponge. If you don't see it, please ask. Our pillows and mattresses are covered with anti bacterial pillow and mattress covers. WE DO NOT provide linens so we ask that you bring your bed linens, pillows cases, blankets and towels. Our Cleaning Service can provide pillow cases, sheets and blankets for $50/person per stay. The water is NOT potable. Please ensure you bring drinking water. Portable heaters and fans are available. No Air conditioning. The cottage has a TV and DVD/BluRay player and a catalogue over over 100 DVDs (for children and adults as well as music concerts). We also have many board games for both adults and children - sure to provide hours of fun. There is a large fire pit with 6 muskoka chairs for those days and nights you want to build a fire, have some drinks or bbq some marshmallows (sticks provided). There are lots of twigs and branches on the property for kindling to start your fire ( if it hasn't rained). Firewood can be purchased in downtown Parry Sound at Walmart, Sobeys etc. A large BBQ with a full propane tank, bbq scraper, tongs and brush are provided. The bbq is situated on the very large deck with an outdoor table and 4 chairs. There is also a lovely picnic table and benches in the front yard. We have a large 16X10 ft floating dock with cleats should you have a boat you would like to dock. The boat launch is only three minutes away from the cottage so it's very convenient. The waters by the dock are about 3 ft deep, so the dock also is a great area on which to lounge. There are two 8X5 yellow floating rafts available - great fun to tie together and take out into the lake or simply lie on and float and soak up the sun. There is a canoe with two paddles. Lifejackets are provided for your safety. We have two adult size, two children size and two toddler sized jackets. The beach is great for children as the waters taper slowly into the lake. Also a great area for kids to play and make sandcastles. There are shovels and pails available for the children as well as noodles. The property is surrounded by beautiful maple and pine trees and as a result you are likely to see many beautiful birds and wildlife, including hummingbirds, chipmunks and geese - to name just a few. Upon your arrival all garbage bins ( food, recycling and bathroom) will be bagged and ready to get you started along with 3 rolls of toilet paper and hand soap. Dishsoap and sponge for the kitchen are also provided. The waste/recycling station is only 3 minutes away so it's very convenient to off load your garbage throughout your stay. At the end of your stay, all garbage must be taken with you. Occasionally the cottage loses power and we do NOT have a backup power generator. Typically power issues are resolved within 12 hours, however depending on the severity of the weather, it could be longer. The cottage has two solar inflatable waterproof lights (LuminAID), candles, matches, a flashlight and lots of board games to keep you entertained. For the toilet, should you need water to "flush" there is bucket available to bring water in from the lake, or if you prefer, a portable folding toilet chair with seat and bucket. If you are looking for a fancy, shiny, modern cottage - this cottage is NOT for you. This cottage is a true, quintessential Canadian cottage!!! It is a quaint 750 sq ft, comfortable, rustic and very clean cottage in a very serene environment. We are not a hotel. If you want to relax and unwind in the wilderness, see some amazing sunrises/sunsets and escape the hustle and bustle of the city, then this cottage is for you. Guest access The cottage is private so the entire space can be accessed by you and your family and friends. No need to worry about others. You will be alone on the entire property and beach. Other things to note Please note that our base rate is for 6 people and we only sleep 6. Two queen beds and two single beds. Please note, a cleaning fee is added to each reservation. If you would like the cleaning service to provide pillow cases and sheets and blankets, the fee is $50 per person per stay, pls let me know and I will arrange. During the peak summer season (May long weekend through to September long weekend), we only accept week long bookings (7 night minimum) unless the calendar has less than a week availability. If there are no full weeks left in our calendar please inquire for the desired duration and we will do our best to accommodate your request! -7- night MINIMUM stay for June, July and August -NO smoking indoors -Pet Friendly - ONE dog less than 50 lbs - we just kindly ask that they are kept off the furniture and beds and you sweep daily so the hair does not accumulate throughout your stay. -NO parties or events -Check in - 3pm or anytime after -Check out - 10 am -Self check in with keypad -MUST take your garbage with you - otherwise a $100 fee will be charged -Security Deposit - if you damage the home, you may be charged up to $1000 -Cottage is to be left in the same condition as when you received it.
