Welcome to the TaHaus! Relax among the soaring pine trees and granite boulders. This cozy abode is set back from the surrounding houses, giving it a more secluded feeling. Spacious yard; easy access to hiking trails, beaches, and ski resorts; nearby shopping, restaurants, and casinos. (Currently, we only accept stays of 30 nights or more) The space This house makes for an ideal getaway, but can double as your work-from-home space! The large yard is surrounded by towering pine trees and piles of granite boulders. The backyard creates an impressive backdrop for watching the sunset. The majority of the rental unit has recently been painted, bringing more warmth and a homey feel to the space. The kitchen, mudroom and twin bedroom are all new! The unit also features different art pieces showcasing Tahoe's beauty, as well as vintage sports equipment, and a handmade ski bench crafted by the owners! Much care and thought was put into the creation of this rental; we hope you'll love it as much as we do! Guest access The guests have access to the entire rental unit, with the exception of two doors that remain locked (a closet for the owners and a door that separates the downstairs rental unit from the upper main house). The guests also have full access to the backyard, however the enclosed "dog run" and the upstairs deck are off-limits. Other things to note During winter/heavy snow, the roads are plowed. Therefore, street parking is not allowed when there is snowfall. We do NOT provide a snow removal service for the property. We have two regular snow shovels, one electric snow shovel, and a snow blower for your use. Snow may NOT be moved into the street. Instructions on acceptable areas to move the snow are located in the rental unit. We have a kerosene heater in case of emergency/power outages. We also have battery-powered and crank-powered flashlights. The owners use the upper two floors (which are separated from the rental), so you will hear some noise (footsteps, voices, etc) occasionally.
