Old Moorens is a cosy, traditional crofthouse on the rugged and beautiful West-side of Shetland. Charming and full of character, the house is situated only 200 metres from a quiet, shingly beach with beautiful sunset views. As well as this, it is only a short, 5 minute walk, to the main West-side bus route. The perfect base for exploring the many attractions Shetland has to offer in all seasons. Fresh, light and airy in the summer months with a wood burning stove for the colder nights. The space Set in it's own garden, with ample parking, the house is arranged over two floors. Downstairs, there is a cosy sitting room with wood burning stove. The perfect space for relaxing in after a busy day sightseeing or walking. At the other end of the entrance passage is the dining kitchen with electric cooker, microwave, fridge-freezer and dishwasher. There is also a Nespresso coffee machine for your morning cup. The washing machine is also in the kitchen, with clothes horse available as well as access to an outdoor clothes line. The final room downstairs is the toilet/shower room. Access to the upstairs is via a staircase ascending from the dining kitchen. The upstairs space is light and airy with lovely views to the sea. The main bedroom offers the comfort of a king-size bed and ample storage space. The second bedroom has two single beds. Guest access The entire home is yours to enjoy throughout your stay and you are welcome to enjoy the garden to the rear. The croft land surrounding the house also belongs to the family and you are welcome to access the close by beach via this land.
