Guest Room in a Resort-like Home
Description
City of Cathedral City STVR Permit No. is 019888 Some describe my mid-century-styled home as a resort! Your bedroom (ONE queen bed for up to 2 persons) awaits. A bathroom across the hall includes combination tub/shower. The back yard with waterfall pool and spa, outdoor shower and fire pit is private . Located on a quiet street in friendly, safe neighborhood, you are close to essentials and just minutes from Palm Springs. 2 Cats reside here. The space Since outdoor living is a big part of being in a desert paradise, the 2500 square foot private backyard includes a refreshing 30-foot long pool, soothing spa and outdoor shower. There are multiple areas to relax and enjoy the mountain views. Lounges await all-over sunning, and a covered dining table and chairs invite you to have your morning coffee in the fresh outdoors. The fire pit is an excellent spot for your evening cocktail. This neighborhood has few streetlights, so nighttime stargazing from the spa or chaise is spectacular! Your home away from home is a charming, relaxing mid-century-styled getaway. Play the piano, watch television, do some work at the desk if you must. Make it home! Enter your private 1970s-inspired bedroom for a great night’s sleep the new queen mattress (medium-firm) with 2-inch memory foam pad plus soft cotton sheets and hypoallergenic pillows. There is closet space and a stylin’ mini-fridge and coffee maker. Across the hall is your bathroom with combination tub/shower. Your comfort is my priority! Guest access Guests are welcome in the main areas of the home. Feel free to sunbathe in the private back yard around the swimming pool, which is suitable for swimming from April into October. The spa can be heated within an hour at no charge! The pool may be heated in the cooler months of the year for an additional charge. The pool has a gas-fired heater. And it is rather expensive to heat the pool in non-summery months (Oct-Apr). The pool can be heated for $8 per degree. So, if the pool is 68 degrees, to get it to 78 degrees costs about eighty dollars. This gives you an idea as to what the "additional charge" can be. In mid-winter, the pool water is around 52-58 degrees. Please be aware that cool nights cause much of the heat to dissipate so that some re-heating for each additional day is required. Poolside lounging remains lovely in the 350-days-a-year sunshine! (Well, ok, we may have no sun on about 12 days a year.) During your stay We work from home and are readily available during your stay. We are happy to leave you alone, but always ready to answer a question or help out in any way. I often communicate by text.
