Mount Mitchell Eco Retreat - Mitchell Lodge

Mount Mitchell Eco Retreat is in a nature-lover's paradise, just a short drive from the Blue Ridge Parkway! Stays here share in all our many amenities, including the Main Lodge, the fire pits, the community kitchen, the hammocks, etc. We have fantastic views of the Black Mountains, and are bordered on two sides by Pisgah National Forest. This is a launching point for world-class hikes, a place to be healed by the earth, and a place that joyously brings friends and family together. The space This room is in our Mitchell Lodge, named after its fantastic views of Mount Mitchell and the Black Mountains. The room features a king bed with an organic/natural luxury hybrid mattress from Awara, a large 7.1 cubic foot fridge, a table with two chairs, plus a full bathroom. Guests here get full access to all the land and amenities that Mount Mitchell Eco Retreat has to offer. Guest access Please note that accessing Mitchell lodge from its parking area requires a short walk up a steep gravel driveway and climbing a set of stairs. There is a Mitchell Loading Zone (and luggage cart) located next to Pisgah building and parking lot for easier moving of luggage. You will see signs for parking as you drive up the main gravel road. Please note designated parking signs for Mitchell. Parking is along the main gravel road below Mitchell, as you head towards the main lodge. Other things to note We are in a beautiful and remote area between Burnsville, Marion, and Spruce Pine. Our check-in time is 4pm, please note that your self check-in lock code will activate at 4pm on the day of your arrival and will not work prior. We encourage guests to do their grocery shopping in town on your way to the Eco Retreat. The health department will not allow us to provide any food items including oil, spices, or other condiments, so please bring those with you. Our community kitchen is well equipped otherwise, and your room/suite has its own refrigerator and microwave. We provide organic Counter Culture coffee that steeps in both the rooms and the Main Lodge. For guests that prefer to bring their own coffee, we also provide a drip coffee-maker in the rooms, but please be sure to bring your own coffee filters. We have exterior cameras at the Main Lodge and Healing House and property entrance, we do not have cameras at the lodges with accommodations. There is also interior cameras in the Main Lodge, but not the Healing House.
