Description
Unwind in this peaceful rural getaway in a village location next to the river Bure and its meadow walks; a 7 minute drive from the market town of Aylsham; 10 minutes from the National Trust estate of Blickling; a 20 minute drive to lovely sandy beaches, the seaside towns of Cromer, Sheringham and the villages of the North Norfolk coast, a short drive from the Norfolk Broads and the City of Norwich. The space The place is a compact, but light and airy one bedroom flat with double bed, ensuite bathroom with shower over bath, own fully equipped kitchen, open plan living room area where there is also a comfortable chair bed and small sofa. You have your own direct access to the shared garden. The flat adjoins our old cottage but has its own private entrance and is fully self-contained with high ceilings and a bright, modern feel. There is off road parking and carport in the shared driveway. Guest access This is an entire self contained space with its own entrance and fully equipped kitchen with washing machine. the property is situated in the heart of the village and is a part of my own home with open plan shared garden, part of which is for your own use. You can walk from the flat down a couple of minutes down the lane to the river, meadows and to the next village and surrounding area. It is possible to walk along the river for miles (you may come across the odd herd of cows!) you can walk (run) or cycle along the Bure Valley miniature railway line (which runs through the meadows) all the way to Wroxham or to Aylsham (from where you can pick up other routes). Other things to note please note the bedroom is quite small with limited space around the bed but has quite an airy feel and has a standard double sized bed, chest of drawers and separate wardrobe with ensuite bathroom. The bathroom is not suitable for infirm, elderly or those with limited mobility as it is necessary to climb over the bath for bath or shower. The step up to the front entrance is relatively high off the ground. The Wifi is fine for most purposes (including working from home) but as its a rural location if you are used to fast city wifi it may not compare with that, although I have not had anyone report a problem with it, including working from home. Likewise the phone signal, depending on your network may not be as strong as you are used to. There is no pub or shop in the village and although its a nice walk to Aylsham if you have the time, you do otherwise need to drive to get to the nearest shop/pub/ amenities.
