Mayberry Days Houseboat! Charming Retro Getaway

Unplug & Unwind with a stay on gorgeous Lake Herrington! This 1975 humble houseboat has everything you would need to relax and enjoy a unique stay on the lake. (We are still working towards more professional indoor photos) The boat features a kitchen with hot plate, microwave, sink and coffee maker. We also have a mini fridge & cooler on the boat for your use, a TV with DVD player. For sleeping we offer two twin beds, a couch and a fold out chair bed! Reminisce in enjoying simpler times :-) The space This is a houseboat from the 70's. Everything on the boat works differently than a normal home or airbnb, there will be instructions left to use the toilet & shower along with how to turn water on/off to the boat. The inside is SMALL, we have done our best to accommodate as many people as possible. There are two twin beds along with the couch and chair. Outside you will find a patio set and bench on the front. Please be aware that cell reception is very poor in this area and the Wifi the marina provides does not reach the boat well, so we do not offer this as an amenity. NO PARTIES. Parties put our boat at risk, our airbnb listing at risk, and you could get us kicked off the marina. This is a simple getaway for people who want to unplug and relax. DO NOT USE RAILS TO GET ON AND OFF OF THE BOAT!! This is a huge risk, the boat is close enough to the dock to step on and off, we do not harbor any liability for you getting on and off the boat. Guest access The road dead ends at the marina. You will park in the gravel lot on the left, and there are stairs to lead you to the dock by the boat ramp. These stairs are steep and can be slippery PLEASE USE CAUTION and travel down to the dock at your own risk. If you are not comfortable with steep stairs, carrying your belongings to and from the boat, or boarding the boat please do not book this airbnb. We live far from our boat and will not be offering assistance due to covid. Other things to note Bring DVD's or your laptop/phone with downloaded movies if you plan to watch TV. Due to the WIFI situation, streaming is not available on the boat. We will continue working to bring DVD's to the boat in the future. There are also fishing poles available for use on the boat, you will need to provide your own bait & tackle which is sold at the marina store.
