Whether you're planning a romantic weekend, a solo retreat, or a base for exploring Boone, Banner Elk, and Blowing Rock, this cozy home away from home offers comfort, calm, and a sweeping, uninterrupted view of Grandfather Mountain the moment you walk in the door. The space THE VIEW STEALS THE SHOW From the moment you open the door, you're greeted by unobstructed views of Grandfather Mountain and the valley below. Enjoy the scenery from the kitchen, living room, or even while curled up on the couch. The back deck is the perfect place to sip coffee at sunrise, stargaze after dark, or wind down with a glass of wine and a record spinning inside. Remodeled in 2021, the space is clean, calm, and filled with natural light. A comfy living room with a gas fireplace invites you to relax after a day of exploring. The fully stocked kitchen features quality cookware and thoughtful touches like cooking oils, spices, and dimmable lighting for a cozy night in. Loved for being a quiet space to relax and escape, and we ask that you respect our neighbors and other guests! PETS We welcome one well-behaved dog (sorry, no cats) under 25 lbs (per HOA rules) with prior approval and a $50 pet fee. Approval required before booking is confirmed. KITCHEN If you enjoy cooking (or just want the option to stay in), this kitchen won’t disappoint. Because we use the condo regularly ourselves, we’ve stocked it with everything we’d want at home: sharp knives, quality cookware, cutting boards, a variety of spices, and olive oil. Whether you're putting together a quick breakfast or preparing dinner while the sky glows behind the mountain through the picture window in the kitchen, you'll have what you need. We provide coffee pods and a bit of our favorite local coffee to get you started during your stay. The 12-cup drip coffee maker also has the option for a single-serve K-Cup brew for a quick convenient cup. Enjoy it at the dining nook - arguably the best seat in the house, and watch the clouds drift by Grandfather's profile as you start your day. Prefer to dine out? You’re in luck—our digital guidebook (shared upon booking) includes a list of favorite local restaurants worth exploring, whether you’re after a casual lunch or a memorable dinner out. Please note: There is no garbage disposal, filtered water dispenser, or automatic ice maker. Tap water is treated by the city. LIVING ROOM The moment you walk in, you're greeted by a stunning, uninterrupted view of Grandfather Mountain. This open, light-filled space is designed for comfort and relaxation. Cozy up on the oversized sofa in front of the gas fireplace, play a board game, browse a book, or unwind with a record and a cocktail as the sun sets. Large windows frame the mountain perfectly—no matter the season, it’s a beautiful spot to slow down and take it all in. BEDROOM The bedroom features a comfortable queen-sized bed with a dual-control heated mattress pad—perfect for chilly mountain nights. You’ll also find a spacious closet, dresser, and luggage rack to settle in, whether you’re here for a weekend or a longer stay. Wall-mounted sconces make bedtime reading easy, and large windows let in plenty of natural light (with privacy shades and curtains when you need them). BATHROOM Clean and simple, the bathroom includes a full bathtub/shower combo, ample vanity space for your toiletries, and a wall-mounted heater to keep things toasty on cool mornings. Soft towels and extra essentials are provided to help make your stay easy and comfortable. BACK DECK Come and experience what we fell in love with! This is where you’ll likely spend much of your time. The back deck offers a wide-open view of Grandfather Mountain and the valley below—perfect for coffee at sunrise, long conversations in the afternoon sun, or watching the sky turn pink at sunset. A bistro table and outdoor sofa invite you to sit and stay awhile. On clear nights, dim the string lights, lean back, and take in the stars. On warmer days, leave the screen door open, put a record on inside, and take in the day — clouds drifting, birds calling, trees shifting with the breeze, and the sky changing from dusk to starlit night. The area is a peaceful mix of seasonal residents and vacationers, making it an ideal setting for rest and relaxation. Our condo is an end unit, which means no shared walls on one side. While the back deck is semi-private, you may occasionally see or hear others enjoying the view from their own outdoor spaces. Even so, the atmosphere remains calm and quiet, allowing you to feel a world away. Guest access Parking is in a shared gravel lot which is dedicated to our condo buildings. On rare occasions (such as holiday weekends) it will fill up, and overflow parking is conveniently located at the end of our parking lot. Access to our unit is very easy, but will require walking up a short flight of steps to the main condo entrance. Other things to note 4WD is required in the winter months if there is snow and ice. We cannot accommodate cancellations or alterations due to weather. As mentioned in the house rules, Trip Insurance is strongly encouraged for travel anytime of the year.
