Guest access There is plenty of parking at the property. The house is about a mile from the charming village of Long Preston, about 1.5 miles from Hellifield and about 5 miles from the popular market town of Settle, all walkable if wished. It should be noted that the access track to the house is narrow with a few potholes in places, depending on the weather; it is not accessible for large motor homes or low slung vehicles. The nearest supermarket is in Settle, along with restaurants and takeaways, lovely boutique shops and a market on Tuesdays. Other things to note Famous (and not so famous!) areas of profound natural beauty are 2-a-penny. The 3 Yorkshire Peaks are easily accessible, as is the Malham Estate (Cove and Tarn). Less discovered areas are also within a 10 mile radius, including the spectacular waterfalls of Scaleber Force and Stainforth Force with its leaping salmon and rock pool jumping. Or just on your doorstep is the beautiful Long Preston beck where crayfish can often be discovered with a little stone turning.
