Fully refurbished in 2021, this spacious 3 bed apartment is the perfect holiday base. In the heart of St Andrews with restaurants and pubs nearby, you’re only a short walk from award-winning beaches and famous golf course. Our fully equipped kitchen includes dining space while the large lounge boasts a woodburning stove to welcome you home after bracing coastal walks. In the historic conservation area, this listed building combines period features with luxurious modern amenities. The space The apartment has its own front door at ground floor level, with stairs from the tiled entrance hallway (space for golf clubs) up to the first floor reception rooms. The luxury fully-equipped kitchen boasts a breakfast bar and large dining table as well as dishwasher, washing machine and tumble drier. Also on the first floor, a spacious lounge offers stylish comfort with picture windows, fireplace with woodburning stove and plenty of seating for lounging around and putting your feet up. Carpeted throughout, the wide sweeping staircases give a sense of grandeur with original wrought iron balustrades adding to the period style. The three bedrooms on the second floor accommodate six people, with space in the master bedroom to add a cot or folding bed if required. Two bathrooms (one ensuite) both have power showers to reinvigorate after a day on the golf course or beach. The apartment has no outside space but huge sash windows let in plenty of light and the bedrooms to the rear of the property have views over the rooftops to the clock tower of the University quadrangle. A few minutes walk takes you to the East Sands beach, the Cathedral and grounds, or St Salvator's quad where there are many places to sit and soak up the sunshine in a peaceful spot. Guest access St Andrews is a compact city and our apartment is situated on a pedestrian lane which links two of the town's main streets. Shops, restaurants and supermarkets are all accessible on foot, as is the famous golf course and award-winning beaches. Larger supermarkets (Morrisons, M&S FoodHall and Aldi) are a short drive away on the outskirts. Paid parking is available directly in front of the apartment, although often busy, and there are areas of free parking a short walk away. Dundee is served by local buses as are the small fishing villages around the East Neuk, and Edinburgh can be reached in just over an hour from nearby Leuchars (taxi ride from St Andrews). Other things to note Our apartment is unusually large for such a central location and offers guests plenty of space to relax and unwind without getting on top of each other. It has been in our family for 30 years and three generations now have fallen in love with the unique place that is St Andrews in their time as students there.
