Peaceful, clean, spacious, beautifully decorated and quiet 24' Yurt completely surrounded by Redwoods on top of the Santa Cruz Mountains. Spend a couple days meditating, reading or writing the next chapter of your memoir. Walking distance to Mount Madonna Retreat Center (open now through reservation only). County Park hiking and horseback riding trails located within 3 miles. Ideal place for photography and mountain/road biking. Covid-19 UPDATE: So what are we doing to help mitigate the risks of COVID-19? For starters our professional cleaners know what they’re doing and pay attention to the important details of human cross-contamination. They pay close attention to all touch points in the yurt (door knobs, cabinet pulls, faucets, remote controls etc) disinfecting them as their last step in the cleaning procedure. Additionally, we’re providing the same disinfecting supplies for guests, so they can have that extra security to spray down anything they want. With this extra time that folks have with their families, it’s a great opportunity to take some time in nature, but not without properly mitigating risk first. We’re in constant communication with our guests to make sure they are comfortable and have everything they need during these tense times. Our property is over 1 acre with the owner's home on the upper half and a recently built private yurt with bathhouse on the lower half. The property has irrigated vegetable beds, flower beds, and fruit trees. We water our plants with 100% reclaimed rainwater. The 24' Pacific Yurt is privately nestled in the Redwoods with 8 windows that leave you feeling like you’re outside. The Yurt has electricity, a gas heating furnace that is easy to operate with a remote control, wifi, a large dining room table with 4 wooden chairs, a comfortable queen size bed, a small kitchenette with granite countertop, and a small living room with a rocking chair and couch. It has lots of natural sunlight, varying types of indoor plants, brand new hardwood floors, and beautiful french doors. The Yurt is powered by renewable energy source, an array of solar panels. The top, circular window opens from inside the yurt with a long pole which is provided. The kitchen has a refrigerator, 2 burner electric stove, toaster, electric kettle, french press, plates and bowls, silverware, cutting knives, cutting board, pots and pans. There is plenty of countertop to cook on. We prohibit guests from bringing and cooking meat on our property as we are vegan and non-harming (ahimsa) as a core value. Thank you! **Please stop in town for groceries before arriving. The nearest grocery store is 15-30 minutes away, depending on the size (small, Corralitos Market is just 15 minutes away). The closest towns are Morgan Hill, Gilroy, Watsonville, and Corralitos. The bathhouse is clean and eco friendly. Enjoy a hot shower underneath the redwood canopy while comfortably standing on a bed of river rocks. The eco-bathroom has a toilet and a sink with hot and cold water. Organic shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, towels and linens are included. Enjoy a 1 minute walk down to the yurt from the dedicated parking spot just outside our private gate. My lovely in-laws also live on the property. One of us will be here to welcome you and show you down to the Yurt and we have self check-in opportunities as well. Thank you! Private parking. Private entrance. Private bathhouse. Greeting upon arrival. Self Check-in is an option. Remote and rural mountaintop setting. Wild turkeys, deer, and peacocks often roam free along Summit Rd.
