Imagine waking up to the sunlight reflecting off the water, or to a beautiful foggy morning with the clouds low on the lake and having your morning coffee on the back porch taking it all in before you start the day. Welcome to the Bluegrass Pickwick house on Herrington Lake. This lake house is quietly tucked away from busy city life, yet close enough to everything that Central KY has to offer. (Only 20 mins. from the Bourbon Trail, 25 mins. from Keeneland, and 20 mins. from Lexington.) The Lakehouse has accommodations for 7 guests. The main floor houses the living room, dining area, kitchen, a full bath, and a bedroom with a queen bed. The living room has a 65" smart tv with netflix. (NOTE: the wifi in this area is LIMITED. ) The back porch has comfortable seating and faces the water. Family dinners can be had on the side deck which also has lake views. The kitchen is thoughtfully equipt with tools for the cook including a BlendTech blender, Air Fryer, pots and pans, as well as a full sized Weber gas grill on the deck. A single cup Keurig coffee maker rounds it out for those beautiful mornings or evenings facing the water. The bottom floor is more of a suite with a king bedroom with lake view windows, a separate bathroom with a tile shower. The upstairs has 3 twin beds with a pull out chair and a half. The property also has a covered dock that is welcoming for fishing, swimming, or tying up your boat or jet ski after a fun day on the lake. The Bluegrass Pickwick Lakehouse is conveniently located off 152 near the Kennedy Bridge. It offers parking for 2 vehicles in front of the house. With direct access to the lake and a dock, you can launch at one of 3 marinas close by: Pandora, Chimney Rock, or Kamp Kennedy (see marinas for details, and launch fees). Boat trailers MUST be kept at the marinas due to limited parking and turn around room. I am available at any time. Lake View Ave was originally a small fishing camp. Therefore the houses are close together at the top of a hill. Fishing off the dock is usually plentiful. Parking is limited to 2 vehicles in front of the house- BOAT TRAILERS MUST BE KEPT AT A MARINA. Not recommended for small children. The lake house is NOT handicap accessible nor baby-proofed. No washer and dryer. Baby gates or pack& plays are NOT provided. Parties are not allowed. Gas grill and fire pit are on the side deck. Noise is to be kept at a minimum. Life jackets and lake equipment are NOT provided. No pets and no smoking please.
