Featuring a split-level design, which is ideal for remote working and general privacy within the house. The space A very Modern house with sprinkles of nautical flavour. Upstairs is the main entrance level and contains open plan lounge, kitchen, main and second bedrooms. The lounge has an extra large picture frame window with a view. Best spot to catch the coffee sunrise. Equipped with large L- shaped leather couch, a few single seater loungers, 2 coffee tables, wall mounted smart tv and a bookshelf with a selection of books. Kitchen has ample cupboard space and is fully equipped with: - double door fridge / freezer (Second fridge / freezer is in dining room) - dishwasher - gas stove - microwave oven - pots and pans - casseroles - paella pan - baking pans - hand blender - stick blender - electric carving knife - Roasting pan - Braai casserole and utensils - plastic ware (bowls and food storage containers) - electric kettle and toaster - stove top whistling kettle - Nescafé dolce gusto coffee machine (Bring your own dolce gusto pods of choice) - French coffee press (Bring along your coffee beans or ground coffee of choice) - Espresso coffee machine - Burr coffee bean grinder - Mokka pot - milk frother / stick blender - Veggie steamer - food processor - blender - sandwich press - steak griller - air fryer - popcorn maker - multi cooker (rice cooker / slow cooker / pressure cooker) - huge selection of glasses for white wine / red wine / champagne/ sherry/ whisky/ cool drink. - almost every kitchen utensil you may need and if it’s not there, just let me know and we will be sure to get it so it’s there next time you visit. You will also find cooking oil, condiments, selection of seasonings and herbs and spices, variety of salts and pepper grinder. Complimentary coffee, black tea, rooibos tea and sugar. Both upstairs bedrooms are fitted with queen size beds and plenty of wardrobe storage space. Main bedroom has a view towards the ocean and an open plan bathroom setup. Second bedroom has fynbos views to the back of the property and its own private bathroom. Through the kitchen, to the right, is a large dining hall that boasts a 10–12-seater custom dining table made from salvaged Oregon Pine. The sideboard contains all your essential crockery and includes: - plates - saucers - serving bowls - salad bowls - cereal bowls - selection of desert bowls and goblets There is a second fridge / freezer in the corner, tucked behind the door, for your use. Across the length of the house, on the outside of the upstairs level, is a beautifully built (and over-engineered) wooden deck with safety rails all around. Part of the deck is shaded, and part is not, so an ideal spot for a bit of sun tanning and just observing the fynbos to the left or the ocean on the right. Guests often like to utilize the Weber kettle braai on the deck during the beautiful sunset hours. An entertainment / Braai room is accessible through the dining room. This is a remodeled garage which is for exclusive use as an entertainment space. There is a built-in braai / fireplace as well as a 6-seater table and is ideal for breakaway relaxation space or even private workspace. You will find all braai equipment at the fireplace. To the left of the fireplace is a cupboard within which is the washer and tumble dryer for when you need to do some laundry during your stay. The garage also features a dartboard and small ping-pong table for your entertainment. Back into the upstairs dining room and down the staircase leads you to the lower level living spaces. Here you will find a second dining area with a large 8-seater Mango wood dining table that has been expertly restored and just a beautiful thing. There is also a fireplace for those cold nights. There is an adjoined kitchenette which serves as a secondary meal prep area with a wash basin. A number of puzzles and board games can be found in the cupboards here. To the right of the kitchen is a short passageway which leads you to the extra-large third bedroom that contains a queen bed and 2 single beds separated by a cleverly designed mini wardrobe/ storage unit with both hanging and drawer space. This is an ideal family room for a couple and 2 children with Smart tv and private ensuite. Sliding doors from the second dining area and third bedroom leads to a courtyard which is partly shaded by the upstairs viewing deck. An outdoor 8-seater picnic table can be found here. Our latest addition is a large, beautiful Kol-Kol wood fired hot tub which has a capacity of 6 adults. There is a small wall mounted collapsible wash line and large retractor washing lines for your laundry drying. This courtyard is enclosed with a white picket fence making it a safe space for small children. There is a large stainless steel drum braai / barbeque for use in the courtyard area. Back through the second dining area is the newly added fourth bedroom which is fitted with a queen bed and private bathroom. The views from this bedroom is fynbos in the valley below and the sea can be partly seen to the right side. This bedroom is only available to bookings of 9-10 guests group size. The house is equipped with a state-of-the-art Deco mesh Wi-Fi system to ensure every corner of the house enjoys the fastest possible internet speeds that often peaks at 100mbps Guest access L’Agulhas Private Nature and Game Reserve is a fully secure community and access is controlled. Only residents and their guests are allowed access onto the reserve via a main remote controlled gate. Other things to note All guest to undertake to abide by the general rules on the nature reserve pertaining to noise levels, fire prevention and general nature conservation. No guest pets allowed. No picking of flowers The house is equipped with a solar inverter backup battery system for your comfort. It is designed to handle all load shedding situations and equipped to supply only essential components of the house for at least 6 hours with moderate power usage. The only appliances that will NOT be powered during load-shedding is the electric oven and the hot water geyser. The Kol-Kol wood fired hot tub is a totally complimentary amenity. Should you be planning to utilise this amenity, kindly pack your own beach towels for drying off afterwards. We only supply bath towels. Early check-in and late check-out requests are always considered favorably and at no extra cost, should prevailing circumstances allow.
