New Brunswick is the "hub city" in central New Jersey - home to Rutgers University, world renown hospitals, and major corporations like Johnson & Johnson and Bristol Myers Squibb. Our home is located on a quiet family-friendly street in a residential area within walking distance of many locally owned small businesses and shops. Our home is in walking distance of downtown, George Street, Rutgers University, the Theater District, the New Brunswick train station, and other city locales. There are NJ Transit bus stops within a block walking distance. All major roadways are within a 5-10 minute drive (Rte 18, Rte 1, Rte 287, NJ Turnpike). Taxis around New Brunswick cost $5 per trip. It is a 30 minute drive/train ride to Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR/NYC). The train ride/drive to NYC/Philly is about 50 minutes to an hour. The CoachUsa bus service runs regularly from downtown New Brunswick to NYC and also has service to Atlantic City and other areas. The Amtrack train also stops at the New Brunswick train station, and can be used to take trips up and down the East Coast to cities like Boston, Washington DC, etc. Central NJ has the best malls for great shopping - Bridgewater Commons, Menlo Park Mall, and Woodbridge Commons Mall are all within a 20-30 minute drive of our home.
