A peaceful EcoBarn with beautiful views

Perfect for the soul and the environment alike ~ much consideration has been taken, where possible, to save and preserve our beautiful planet ~ reusing, recycling and renovating. The barn is heated by a ground source heat pump, rainwater is collected for flushing the toilets and the water source is fresh from the fells. The stillness and tranquility of this special space will share itself with you, offering fond memories ~ recharging and inspiring nostalgia. The space The EcoBarn is placed in rather a beautiful location, within the valley of Dentdale ~ Yorkshire Dales National Park, surrounded by trees, wildlife and farmland. The barn sleeps 8 people, it is however affordable if you’re coming away as a pair - with one double bedroom, and two further bedrooms with sturdy bunk beds, two showers and three toilets. There is a lovely fully equipped kitchen, made from up-cycled church pews, housing a large Range and open plan dining and socialising area, which includes a piano - for those wishing to escape and practise their love of music, the barn couldn’t be more perfect. The outdoor space is delightful, you’ll enjoy a natural wooded garden and to the front a stone paved sitting area with magnificent views. The rising of the sun can be embraced from the outdoor space, perfect for an early yoga or meditation session - this activity however is dependent upon the number of cars brought. The barn is available for organised retreats, and for those who are wishing to enjoy the stillness and peace of this beautiful area. It’s the perfect base for exploring this part of the world, be it by foot, from the front door, the walking is truly magnificent, cycling, wild swimming, caving and horse riding - if you love the outdoors, you’ll love it here, if you love good food, equally so ~ Dent, which you can walk to in 30 minutes has a wonderful collection of cafes and two iconic Dales pubs. A short and beautiful drive through either Dentdale or Barbondale will take you to Sedbergh or Kirkby Lonsdale, both open up a delightful and colourful choice of pubs, restaurants, cafes and shops. Me, my mother and father live next to the barn, however neither of the homes are overlooked, nor ones privacy compromised. The night skies here are absolutely incredible, be it by the naked eye, or by telescope ~ you can sit for hours in the starry brightness. At certain times of the year, the moon rises from behind the hill ~ a truly breathtaking experience. Much kindness Becky x Note ~ if you're a party of two, you have a choice of bedroom set ups and access to one bathroom and one separate toilet - for groups over 2, you have access to two bathrooms and one separate toilet. Sadly due to the nature of the barn we're unable to accommodate children under 12, lively parties, stag or hen parties, if of a party type nature. We can accommodate one well behaved non moulting dog by arrangement and with agreements in place. We can also accommodate children over 12 by arrangement and with agreements in place. If your group has a dog or children, you must advise at time of booking. At times of the year, the arrival day is Saturday - 7, 14, 21 nights in duration
