Georgian town house in Machynlleth

Our family home is part Georgian townhouse and part enormous Welsh cottage. The common rooms are arranged in series from front to back with the exception of the music room. There are two staircases that would once have served master and servant and there is a large fireplace in the living room with an oak framed inglenook. We recently extended the back of the house with a conservatory and pergola that connect to the garden. Most of the house has been recently refurbished. The space Available exclusively to guests will be the 3 bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, two stairwells, music room and open plan living room, kitchen and conservatory that comprise the two lower floors. These connect to a covered porch and pergola that connect to the garden. All these spaces are available for exclusive use by our guests. The garden has a fire wok and wood shed full of firewood as well as outdoor plug sockets and lights. You are welcome to use the parasol and folding garden furniture. Our home does have three floors, the top of which will be locked and inaccessible during your stay. This is where our clothes and family junk will retreat for the duration! The workshop between the conservatory and garden will also be locked and inaccessible during your stay. Guest access You can access our home through the front door off the public road or the rear door off a shared private road. This road can be used for loading and unloading vehicles but I’m afraid, not parking. This private road is functional but shabby. We do aim to upgrade it with our neighbours at some stage! Other things to note Our home has been refurbished with Miele appliances, high performance windows and doors, underfloor heating and as much insulation as we could squeeze in. There are solar water heating and solar PV panels on the roof and a wood burner in the living room with a stacked wood shed in the garden. We find our home a pleasure to live in; I’m confident you will too :)
