Enjoy the charm of our sweet cabin right on Shawinigan Lake! This year-round cozy home was designed with everything you need to relax from summer to winter. Enjoy the endless summer days of lake front living with our large patio overlooking the lake, private dock,and swim out beach. In the winter,relax and cozy up beside the two wood-burning fireplaces and share in special moments with your family or friends. Ideal for family fun, girls/boys trip or couples getaway. The space Our 2 level fully furnished lakefront gem is an old, cozy updated 1970's house. It is situated directly on the lake with door to dock access within seconds. UPDATE 2025 renovations: Brand new floors and new entry level bathroom! 8 people Sleeping: There are four bedrooms and two bathrooms (1 bathroom on each floor) Upper level: Bedroom 1- Queen bed Bedroom 2- Two twin beds (one twin is a trundle bed =3 beds) Entry level: Bedroom 3- King bed Bedroom 4- Double bed Heating: All rooms have baseboard heaters and adjustable heating to your preference. Upper rooms have two ceiling fans, lower rooms are cooler and have a fan in each. Kitchen: 2022 purchased oven and large fridge freezer with filtered water dispenser. Fully stocked with kettle, coffee machine, blender, microwave, toaster oven, waffle maker, cooking supplies and filtrated water cooler down stairs provided. (The tap water is tested/treated weekly from a large water treatment area on our property but we recommend general drinking from the provided water dispenser options). Please plan for your own cooking needs with parchment, tinfoil and oils etc. While we stock things well, items get used up and we do not supply every cooking item regularly. Dining: 6-8 seating Long dining table in front of a wood burning fireplace. Living area with lounge seating for morning coffee and lounge or enjoying the views. Our two wood burning fireplaces will always be fully stocked and ready to light. All extra wood and kindling can be provided. Living Room: Upstairs: We have as a special living space. It is a great lounge spot to enjoy that gorgeous lake view from our house. Downstairs: Large leather couch with Wifi TV available on entry lower level with second wood burning fire place. As well as a Spin bike and hand weights/ workout bench located on this floor. Toys, Foozball table. Two bathrooms: Both have showers, lower entry level has the bath. Usually stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash (however renters have taken them in the past and we can not always replace). Extra paper towel and toilet paper found in upstairs closet in lower basket. Patio: Teak dining outdoor table seats 6-8 and a new Weber BBQ and full propane tank should be set (we cannot replenish it if its low and runs out) Our newly renovated indoor living room is accessible to patio as well. Rain, wind and flying debris occur regularly, therefore there can be leaves and water from rain between cleanings. Outdoor/Dock: In the summer (late May/June)the dock is perfectly set up for lounging and soaking in the sun. There are two lounge areas on the dock one with a large gazebo over 2 lounge chairs and a couch. The other lounge sectional has a sun umbrella if needed (PLEASE PUT DOWN WHEN NOT IN USE DUE TO WIND) As well there are 2 extremely comfortable lay down loungers. We have 1 long wood picnic table located on our green space lawn in front of our beach for lake front dining. You are welcome to move it where you like along our grass property. ***Please note: In October-May/early June we take down and store some of our dock and patio furniture to keep it pristine for the following year. The lake rises by November/December and can fully cover the lawn and beach by January and all the way to the end of May depending on rain season. With that and weather damage the furniture and dock will be set with the picnic table and small lounge set only (cushions located inside if you prefer to wade out) There is propane fire pit for the cement outdoor patio with seating to view the beach front. If a fire ban please use that only. We have a washer and dryer, bath towels, beach towels, fresh linens and a hot and cold water cooler, wine beer fridge upstairs in kitchen and an extra tall freezer on entry level (Note: extra freezer only out in summer season) Indoor sonos music system, Games, Foosball table, puzzles, 2 kid kayaks, 2 adult SUP out all year. In the summer season a floating play mat and swim out pop up dock, life jackets, beach and water toys. For the 2 paddle boards and 2 kid kayaks in the winter it will be located on outside patio. In the summer all will be located under our house on lake side. Others: - Private entrance -4 parking spaces - Highspeed Wifi - Large green yard space on lake front with picnic table/umbrella - Private beach lounging and swimming area. -Pet allowed (requires non refundable pet fee and description of your pet) Feel free to contact me if any questions regarding other inquiries either longer or shorter stays) Guest access Our guests have full access and use of the house except for one storage room located on lower entry level that is locked and not available for guests to access. The boat house garage is locked as well for our storage use only. There are four parking spaces located out front of house for your use. Please respect our neighbours and keep your pet on our property and dock only. Parking spots please only use the 4 spots out front our house. No street/driveway parking and no CAMPERS/RV/TENT TRAILER staying. And please clean up after your dog and use the garbage under garage roof for pet clean up. Dogs should be kept on our property or leashed if travelling. Other things to note Please let us know if you are wanting to bring a pet. We do have a non refundable daily pet fee. It can be discussed and adjusted based on pet and length of stay. Please note the lake rises right to the steps of our grass front beach access and can rise to our cement lower patio. If it rains heavily it takes longer for a dry beach and grass area to return. Therefore spring can feel quite wet out and muddy out front and dock access is therefore limited.
