Weavers Yurt, is your own sanctuary in Devon countryside—birds instead of buzz, trees instead of traffic. No judgment, no rush—just space to unplug, breathe deep & find your own rhythm again. Steam in the streamside sauna, bake pizzas by the pergola, & soak under the stars in the outdoor hot bath. 10 mins from the M5 - & a world away from busy-ness☺️✌️✨ Rest - Reset - Reconnect ✨✌️☺️ The space We only take 1 booking at a time, so the whole space is just for you! Tucked away at the very back of our property there's a little gate that leads to a private piece of land... ... and it's like entering another world. Weavers Yurt really is a magical hideaway :) You'll have 1/4 acre to explore and enjoy... the site is long and there are many areas tucked away so you can choose to hang out together or enjoy space to yourself :) ** Children ** are very welcome & love it here... please read the section at the bottom for more info. The Zones!! YURT There's a King Bed under a stunning canopy & two single beds. (The single beds are converted into a sofa if not needed). Two incredibly comfy arm chairs are set next to the wood burner, which keeps the yurt very cosy & warm. Fairy lights & lamps make evenings in the yurt so beautiful. (Linens, bedding, electric blankets, board games & books provided). GARDEN LOUNGE This area is fantastic and the covered roof offers outdoor living no matter the weather... we love it!! Set up with various hammocks & comfortable chairs you can sit back and view the trees, stream and yurt... even if it's raining :) There's a feeling of being abroad when sat here. FIRE PIT Great fun for the evening to sit back and get toasty warm. Roasting marshmellows & cooking BBQ diners on it's grill. Watching the sun set and the stars come out is magical. OUTDOOR BATH A truly stunning bath is set under the trees on the deck by the yurt. Enjoy a relaxing, nature inspired, once in a lifetime bathing experience with a glass of wine! SAUNA This Zen Zone is set under a covered deck, you can relax after a sauna in a hammock chair and look out onto the stream. There's also an Alfresco Cold Water Shower next to the stream and under the trees which is highly recommended after a sauna or on a hot day! WimHof fans love this! A rustic bridge takes you over the stream to a little island bank, which children love to explore and is a great spot for throwing stones into the stream. PIZZA OVEN We have a wonderful Wood Fired Pizza Oven under the cover of the Garden Lounge. Cook up amazing tasting pizza’s or experiment and cook up other yummy food (Baked camembert, Spatchcock chicken, Pittas, Roast vegetables, Sides of salmon, Fruit desserts). KITCHEN HUT You'll find a well equipped kitchen, plus table and 4 chairs. There's an electric heater in the kitchen. [electric hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge (with freezer tray), coffee plunger, cooking utensils, pots & pans, glasses, crockery]. SUN & YOGA DECK A gorgeous spot to do yoga (mats provided)... and by midday it's a fab spot for soaking up the sunshine. In the evening it's lit up by solar lights which can be seen from the garden lounge. RIVER CAFE Set next to the stream... we've put some rustic benches there as it's the best spot for morning coffee or a shaded area on a hot day. If you're with children they can play in the stream from here whilst you sit back and watch :) OWL GARDEN Behind the yurt there's a peaceful wild garden. A hammock between two apple trees makes it a super relaxing spot to relax in. There's a large owl box in the Oak tree hence the name ;) At the back of this garden is a little gate that you can use if you want to sneak out for a countryside walk without coming up to your car. FLUSHING TOILET Follow the raised deck as it curves from the yurt's entrance to the toilet hut... And tucked amongst the trees you'll find the flushing toilet & cold water sink. Decorated in bamboo and jungle flooring it's a very fun bathroom! HOT SHOWER Through the stunning Balinese door at the back of the kitchen, you'll find the hot water shower & sink. PING PONG & OTHER GAMES Because guests often don't want to leave once they've arrived, we've added lots of games to keep you occupied! * Ping pong table in the owl garden * magnetic darts * giant chess board * selection of board games THE SETTING There is something so special the moment you walk through the private gate to the yurt site. We feel it every time we go down there... Private Woodland Vibes There’s a feel of being in a private woodlands due to the way the trees line the stream (River Weaver)… it's also easily accessible to walk down to & we highly recommend bringing wellies so you can explore the length of it (enjoyed by both children & adults!). On the other side of the stream, if you look through the trees and across the horizon there are views of the gorgeous Blackdown Hills. The River Weaver The whole site runs directly alongside the River Weaver. It ranges between a shallow brook to a stream to a small river depending on the season! Built with Love The site has been built with a lot of love and has been inspired by the many places we've travelled to over the years. Our aim is to give you everything you need to relax and unwind, whoever you're with and whatever the weather! :) We so value having space to ourselves and know others do too, which is why we've kept this as a single booking site. We hope you love it as much as we do! We may be biased, but we really think it's the perfect getaway for a quiet, relaxing, nature-filled holiday with a difference :) FAQ's & OPTIONAL EXTRAS We've added these in the section just below called 'Other Details to Note' CHILDREN POLICY - Children are very welcome but need to be fully supervised at all times. - There's a wildness to the site that's a bit like Forest School... if this is something you're comfortable with then you'll love it :) - As you will see from the photos, it's a rural setting with a stream / river (depending on the season) alongside the yurt which is accessible at many points. - We've purposefully left large parts of the site stay natural & wild. - There's a raised deck platform, a log burner in the yurt & two fire pits. - We have two young children aged 3 & 6 who love spending time down there :) Guest access The yurt is located at the very back end of our property. There's a little gate and once through it your in you're in your own private & secluded spot that can not be seen from our property :) There is an additional small gate beyond the yurt that you can use to head out for walks if you don't need to come back up for your car. Parking is by our house and is available for up to two cars. Other things to note I’ve included some FAQ’s below that I hope are helpful :) We also have some OPTIONAL EXTRA’S (e.g. Pizza Kit, Wood Bags, Late Checkout), details below. *** OPTIONAL EXTRAS *** WOOD BAGS - We provide a complimentary starter basket of seasoned wood for the yurt's log-burner. - Additional wood can be bought from us (£8 per bag). - You're welcome to bring your own wood. Seasoned wood only, as unseasoned wood can damage the wood burner and cause serious fire hazard to you or the next guest. MARGARITA PIZZA KIT We can supply Pizza Kit's (24hrs notice required) Pizza Kit £20 includes: Dough Balls x 2 (makes 2 large or 4 small pizza’s), grated mozzarella, tomato sauce for the pizza base, flour (for rolling the dough on), wood & kindling for the pizza oven fire. LATE CHECKOUT We offer 6pm late checkout for £60. Its subject to availability and typically excludes peak times such as summer holidays. *** FAQ’S *** CLOTHING TO PACK It's way way cosier & comfier than camping but if you pack as though you are you'll be totally set! We recommend bringing layers, including a warm jumper and warm socks. If you have a snuddy/blanket jumper these are great for nipping to the toilet or enjoying the evening outside around the fire. FOOTWEAR - Wellies / trainers you don't mind getting muddy are worth bringing... (Local walks can get muddy if it's been raining. Plus the stream by the yurt is fun to explore with the right footwear). - Shoes that are easy to slip on such as crocs / or flip-flops - so you can easily nip to the kitchen or toilet - there's gravel walkways between the yurt / kitchen / garden lounge / sauna) which means these areas don't get muddy. SAUNA The sauna can be used for up to an hour per person, per day (with a small additional charge if you want to use it more than this). It is self-operated and run on a trust basis, so you can use this as and when you wish. We just ask you to please remember to switch it off after use. We will explain everything in full when you check in. *Please note that we don't provide separate/additional towels for the sauna. ELECTRICS The yurt and kitchen cabin both have full mains electricity/plug points and lighting. WIFI We have free wifi throughout – if you want it ;) HEATING - The Yurt is heated by the wood burner. - The Kitchen Hut has a wall mounted electric heater (turns off automatically after 30mins). WATER Water from the kitchen tap is drinkable. SHOWER / TOILET - There’s a flushing toilet (only toilet paper and human waste ;) can be flushed. Anything else can break the macerator pump. - There’s an indoor hot shower at the back of the kitchen hut. - There’s an outdoor cold shower by the stream / sauna. TRANSPORT Please note that you will need your own transport when staying with us, as there is no public transport through the village. The nearest village shop is a 5-minute drive, and the nearest large supermarket 10 minutes' drive.
